Unfortunatly all links ive tried in this thread (lets say 1.2.3-1.2.7) are corrupted with the new TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen7 trojan..There is no trojan. Anything with "Gen" in the name is a generic detection algorithm. Most of these algorithms are crap and produce false positives. These antivirus programs are becoming a nuisance. |

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Hello, Toasty. I have an FX 8350 CPU and 2 R9 290s. Whenever I apply the 1.2.7 patch, I am at higher risk of a full PC Crash/Stall. Whenever I'm playing Battlefield 4, horizontal green lines show up at random for .5 of a second. Sometimes, when I first click on the Battlefield 4 Application, I automatically get a full PC freeze. However, when I do not have the patch applied, all of these problems stop. I've even tried drivers 13.8 to 14.7.
Any solutions? Maybe an earlier version maybe? |

It sounds more like a CrossFire issue with higher pixel clocks, but that shouldn't happen with the R9 290 cards unless one is defective. Does this happen at 60 Hz? |

Hello, Yes sir. It happens even at the default 60hz on the monitor and with Gpu stock setting. I actually rma a xfx R9 290 thinking that the gpu was bad. The sad part is that the card was a great overclocker and the one they sent me as a replaceable is horrible for Overclocking. I read on a previous post about someone having good results with the 14.6 RC catalyst and with the 1.2.4 pixel clock rate, I wasn't able to find the 1.2.4 anywhere so I used the 1.2.5 and so far so good. I did try with pretty much with all of the previous and current catalyst and pixel clock rate and was getting bosd and the horizontal lines with Bf4 and bf3. The computer would freeze when watching YouTube as well. Even after following the instructions on the first post. I upgraded from a nvidia 660 ti and had zero issues with it at 120hz at all. I used the display driver uninstall every time as well. This might be the last time I buy an amd. I appreciate all that you've done for all of us toasty ☺ |
