ASUS GTX1080TI STRIX OC with Acer XG270HU can't set to 144 hz
Hallo Forum,
I have an ASUS GTX1080TI STRIX OC graphic card and want to run an ACER PREDATOR XG270HU with it. The monitor is connected with a DisplayPort cable. On the PC there’s an up-to-date Windows 10 with the latest drivers installed. Unfortunately I can’t select a WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution with 144 Hz on the Nvidia control panel (version 378.78). The maximum I can select is 75 Hz; 144 Hz is not selectable, regardless of the resolution. I have already tried a lot: Changed the HDMI port, changed the monitor cable, reinstalled the drivers, connected the monitor to another PC with the same configuration, etc. I has unfortunately no experience with the CRU tool. Is there perhaps a setting file to import ? Does anyone have an idea what to do? I’m out of ideas. Thank you a lot. |

Are you sure you have the XG270HU and not the XG270HUA? Make sure you're using DisplayPort, not HDMI. CRU won't help in this situation. This should be plug and play.

I'm having trouble finding the correct specs for this monitor. There might be two versions of this monitor for different markets. Does the box say it's a 144 Hz monitor? Check the part number on your monitor. The 144 Hz version ends with 001. If yours ends with A01, then you have the wrong version.

Ohh shit, the partnumber ends with A01 but the box and the documentation say 144Hz
Thanks for the help, the monitor was incorrectly described and can actually only 60Hz. |
