Acer XB240H and AMD Lightboost Problem
Hey Guys i have the Acer XB240H display and i wanted to get lightboost with an AMD R9 270 graphic card.
I tried it with the lightboost hack (Strobelight) but it didn't work. Maybe because my display only have 3D Vision Lightboost and not 2D? Please help me Thank you |

RE: Acer XB240H and AMD Lightboost Problem
Strobelight only supports a specific list of monitors. Any newer monitor with 3D Vision should have LightBoost, but there's no way to activate it with an AMD card. NVIDIA has also prevented ULMB from being activated with non-NVIDIA cards.

Oh okay, thank you for your fast reply!
Do you know if there is an other method for AMD which is reducing the blur motion? |

RE: Acer XB240H and AMD Lightboost Problem
LightBoost and ULMB are the only two methods, and NVIDIA has locked them both to NVIDIA cards. LightBoost can be unlocked using an NVIDIA card, and it will stay unlocked as long as the monitor doesn't lose power. That's the only way to get it working with AMD.
