Crossover 2795 QHD freesync over dvi doesn't work?
hello, i'm trying to get freesync to work but it doesn't seem to do work at all.. i can get my monitor detected as hdmi and have to do the replug the monitor thingy or it starts up with a black screen.
am i doing something wrong? my monitor does not have a scaler and as far as i know it should be able to do it like a qnix, yamazaki catleap... before trying freesync it was overclocked to 96hz and that always worked so far. am i doing something wrong or is my monitor just not compatible? its a dual link dvi 1440 panel with no scaler. more info here : http://www.overclock.net/t/1555354/offic...40p-ah-ips these are my settings : http://imgur.com/a/9ZXYG |

The FreeSync range needs to be at least 10 Hz apart, like 50-60 Hz.

I don't know. The Crossover should be able to do it since it doesn't have a scaler, but maybe the driver is not allowing it with the R9 Fury. It works for me with just the main 60 Hz detailed resolution and the HDMI support and FreeSync range data blocks with the FreeSync range set to 50-60 Hz.

I think something changed in a recent driver because the HDMI support data block doesn't seem to be getting around the 165 MHz pixel clock limit anymore. Make sure the driver is patched: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Threa...ck-Patcher

FreeSync shouldn't be active on the desktop, so the only reason the screen would stay black is if the monitor can't display the resolution. Make sure it's set to the correct resolution and refresh rate in the Windows display settings. It's possible the monitor can't handle 60 Hz with a single-link connection. Maybe it'll work with lower refresh rates like 40-50 Hz.
