I've tried making 60hz the minimum in the "range" at the top of the CRU window. I also removed all resolutions with a frequency below 60hz. However the 24hz minimum is STILL shown by Windows. Where is it coming from ? I'm pretty sure its not in the EDID anymore so my guess is that AMD (or Windows) is automatically adding it. Is there any way of stopping this ? Cheers.I haven't heard of AMD drivers automatically adding 24 Hz. Are you sure it's not in the EDID? Check the HDMI data block in the CTA-861 extension block. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi, I have a problem with a monitor that supports UHD 144Hz only via connecting 2 display port cables: I got this mode to work somewhat, but the monitor shows artifacts (interspersed lines).
Since I already had to create a custom resolution for 120Hz to work (it didn't work for the default 119,91 that windows selected), I thought maybe 144Hz also has a problem with the default 143,839Hz that are selected by Windows. But the Nvidia Customize option is greyed out for the dual-displayport-cable mode. I tried CRU to create a suitable mode with 144Hz, but the mode becomes red and can't be saved, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Strangely enough, the only mode available in the EDID seems to be: Code: Native/preferred timing.. 2000x1000p at 60Hz Any idea what I could try? |

You would also need a Tiled Display Topology data block, which is normally in the second extension block, but CRU can't read the second extension block with NVIDIA, so this would have to be done manually. RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello everyone, I am a new user, so I apologize if the question has already been dealt with. I searched the thread, but couldn't find a guide. I have a 60hz lcd. With the windows default settings I have eyestrain. I have verified that Windows reads 59.94hz. I have set CRU resolution standard lcd to 61hz and now the lcd is perfect. Could that be the problem? Is the 61hz value entered correct? Or is there a precise time to enter to get exact 60hz? If I put 60hz in CRU I have the same problem. Thanks to those who want to answer and especially ToastyX for the spectacular software.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
hi all, i have a DP KVM 2x1 pro and a 144hz DP monitor and ASUS Mini PC PN51 running amd 5500u. If i use direct DP connection, the monitor works well. But if I connect through the KVM, the monitor flickers forever. I've tried to use CRU and lower the settings to 100 or 120, but can't get it to work with the KVM as well. Any advice on the settings that I should look out for? Thanks.
