RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I'm trying to remove the TV resolutions on the GM001J, but the extension blocks are gray and can't be edited. Is there a work around for this?

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi.
Need a little help with new monitor please. Samsung Odyssey g70b/hdmi 2.1 connection. If adaptive sync on - sometimes on switching full screen to borderless have black screen. Audio - working. Just full lost of video signal. Cure - disable adaptive sync in monitor setting, thats restart monitor and image start showing up. As i understand after google - need to corect v rate. But in my scenary - v rate blank. Extension blocks - empty. If i understand correctly - i need to add "cta-861" block and use "freesync range" option with what numbers? Something like "60-144?" Or i need "hdmi 2.x support" and "Variable refresh rate" range option ? |

NVIDIA's driver ignores EDID overrides for displays that have the extension block problem, so you won't be able to make any changes until they fix this. Frankly you shouldn't need to use CRU to fix a problem with a new monitor. This sounds like a firmware bug with VRR that Samsung needs to fix, so you should report this issue to their support, or return it and get a different monitor without this problem. |

Definitely it's firmware - odyssey not good with quality control so i knew something gonna happen. Got one before. But leave it for now - if use borderless as main settings, no problem at all. Anyway i buy it for year~ - waiting for new oled on start of next year. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I have an HDMI headless dongle that I'm trying to set to 4k 120hz. I have a 4090, so it has an HDMI 2.1 port on it. Is there any way to do this without TV resolutions?

What are you doing and what happens? For black bars, display scaling is controlled by the monitor, so check your monitor's settings to control the scaling. |
