RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello,
Is it possible to enable VRR on the TCL c845? I've tried adding freesync range into the extension block but didnt work. Also I've tried to set the range in the Variable refresh rate option for the hdmi 2.1 support entry (defaults is blank) but that gives me a black screen and everything breaks. If you guys have any tips how to make this work please tell me!!! There are some prints bellow for the settings!! |

You might need to enable VRR in the TV's settings. It should be explained in the TV's manual somewhere. I think for TCL TVs, you need to have Game Master on. |

I admit I don't have any idea where would I find such an option. Googled a bit but nothing relevant came up. I did a clean reinstall of several drivers and every time the result was the same. But I found kind of a workaround. In CRU, under Extension blocks/CTA-861 I created a detailed 3824x2151 resolution. That way, in NV control panel, it is considered as regular monitor resolution, not a custom one. I turned on DLDSR and while it uses a 3840x2160 as a baseline, I get to keep 3824x2151 for desktop and most of the games. |
