It's not needed anymore. What problem are you trying to solve?

sorry for quoting old post. my nvidia control panel only shows RGB and ypbcr 444. its missing 420.

i want to test importing that .dat file to force 420. but that file is no longer there.

Any HDMI 2.1 display could implement those features. ALLM has no purpose if the monitor already doesn't have lag, and fast Vactive has no purpose with VRR because VRR already scans at the fastest rate.

Thanks for the response Boss. So if I was going for absolute lowest lag not using vrr would it help with input lag even slightly?

G-sync problem @ RTX 4090 DisplayPort with LG OLED (HDMI)
Dear experts,
maybe you can help me with my g-sync problem:

I use my new PC (7800X3D, ASUS B650e-f, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus, Win 11) with 3 identical LG OLED 4K/120Hz 48-inch TV screens (model C1 from 2021, with g-sync compatibility) and I want to have g-sync with all monitors of course.

G-sync works wonderfully on the HDMI output of the 4090 and HDMI 2.1 input of the monitor, in full 10-bit RGB, HDR.

However, g-sync is not recognized on the two screens that are connected to the DisplayPort output of the graphics card (with a monitor input also to HDMI 2.1).

Unfortunately, the "g-sync menu item" is missing in the Nvidia Control Panel and "Monitor Technology" does not appear under the global 3D settings. The monitors connected via DP work in "HDR RGB 10bit full" but with a FIXED 120Hz.

I am not sure whether its the cable: I use one with DP1.4 -> HDMI 2.1 specification, see amazon: AGFINEST DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 8K cable.

Or could I fix this with CRU changing something at my TV settings (What & How)?

Dear friends, My laptop supports up to 300hz but currently it show only 2 options like 60.12 and 300.44 and I think these numbers are the main reason for some horizontal lines at the bottom of my monitor.

When I change the resolution one to another it fixes it but should I correct the numbers as 60 and 300?

P.S. I can't select 300 as a custom from CRU why and how can I do that? Thank you

My PC: Rtx3060 1920×1080 17.3" laptop.

I was curious and went to try to understand why. I read the whole document and understood that the reason for this is probably the "max pixel clock" which in my case is 170MHz (as in the image). But the doubt came to me, shouldn't my limit be 300MHz? I have an RX 570 (which has an HDMI 2.0b output) and an HDMI 2.0 cable as well. Shouldn't it have a higher pixel clock number? Or does this parameter depend on the monitor?
What happens beyond 73 Hz? The max pixel clock is not used if it's not included. AMD's driver also listens to the max TMDS clock in the HDMI data block in the CTA-861 extension block as described under pixel clock limits in the first post. You should be able to go up to 340 MHz with an RX 570 for HDMI 1.x. That kind of monitor wouldn't have HDMI 2.x.

The point of that file was because back then CRU couldn't read extension blocks or add 4:2:0 resolutions, so there was no way to make changes while keeping 4:2:0 resolutions. Now you shouldn't need to add 4:2:0 resolutions because they should already be defined if the display supports them, but you can add them manually in a CTA-861 extension block by adding a TV resolutions data block with "4:2:0 resolutions" enabled.

Fast Vactive is mainly helpful with vsync, and the display would have to support it to have any effect. If you care about lag, then you shouldn't use vsync anyway, so there's no point. I'm not doing interviews at this time.

You need active adapters that support converting HDMI VRR to DisplayPort adaptive sync.
