this can be done in your gpu's control panel.
But in that case I’m not having display scaling and I do have GPU scaling which I don’t want , if it’s to have gpu scaling I don’t need to use CRU

According to ToastyX "Lower resolutions can be scaled up to the native resolution by enabling GPU scaling in the graphics driver's control panel, but higher resolutions won't be scaled down by the GPU. Higher resolutions will only work if the monitor can handle them.
Laptop displays usually don't have scalers and can't display non-native resolutions without GPU scaling".
I would also like to know how the mirrored line looks like. What's your current native resolution (not 2560x1440)?

My native resolution is 2560x1440, and I’m trying to play stretch res using CRU I’m trying to reach 1800x1440 I add the resolution and change it and it actually stretches the image but like I said I got this mirrored line in the middle of the screen so I presume that my monitor cannot handle that resolution ?
What GPU do you have? If you have Basic Display Adapter, you cannot create custom resolutions; if you have old Intel GPUs, you need to install EDID following ToastyX's instructions.
I have a 4070 TI Super 16 GB

Try adding 1800x1440 from NVIDIA's Control Panel. If you still see a mirrored line, I believe only 16:9 resolutions work in your monitor (since 2560x1440 is 16:9).

From Nvidia control panel it does work but like I said it’s GPU scaling so I would like to use CRU for display scaling instead of GPU

Not possible unfortunately.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I just registered this forum, its my first post, hope i dont break any rules, i have searched about on how to add a custom resolution of 960x540p 33Khz H-sync for my HD CRT that is 1080i capable through a hdmi to component transcoder from my pc, but havent found any info yet, does anyone know if a guide on how to get 960x540p 33Khz resolution compatible with hd crt´s exist? Or steps on how to make one with CRU? IM new to CRU, thanks a lot for your time

Why are NVIDIA users so obsessed with display scaling? If the monitor can't display the resolution correctly, just use SRE and GPU scaling. Don't make simple things so complicated.

What is 960x540p 33 kHz? What GPU? What version of Windows? What does CRU show? What have you tried?

Now nvidia's RTX HDR reads for me at 1015 nits for some reason. (other people have reported different values for them)
I used CRU luminance to change from 139 to 157 which should be 1000 to 1500 nits. Hopefully this is correct what i did?

At any rate RTX HDR still reads as 1015 for some reason any idea?

Also what does max frame -avg do?
Last I heard NVIDIA's driver ignored EDID overrides with the G9 Neo, but I don't have the hardware to test this myself. This is something NVIDIA needs to fix.

Max frame average is the maximum luminance when taking into account the average of all the pixels, while max luminance is the absolute max of any pixel.

That's probably a limitation of the panel controller.

Read again, "33 KHz" refers to the H-sync.
