The HMDI Connected one has always worked in full res through windows display settings, but the other always tried to run 1080 x 1920 streched across the monitor.
Ive been using CRU for months to run both in 1080 x 2560, but since the windows update which I installed friday, the second monitor (DVI) has gone back to displaying in streched 1080 x 1920 and i cant seem to get CRU to over ride this?
What video card do you have? What model are these monitors? You shouldn't have to add 2560x1080. It should already be there if the monitor supports it with DVI.
Hi Toasty X

Have sorted it now, it was the pixel clock maxing out, I used your patch.

Cheers Smile

It has worked for months so the video card/cable definetley supports it, it is only since the most recent windows update it has stopped wroking.

My video card is a Radeon HD 6570, I have attached two screenshots as reference, showing each screen in windows settings and CRU.
My point is 2560x1080 should already be defined by the monitor even if it's not listed in the Windows settings, so how are you adding it with CRU if it's already there? Both screenshots only show CRU with HDMI.

This is the opposite of what should happen. HDMI should require the patch with 6000-series cards. DVI should not require the patch if both the monitor and the video card support dual-link DVI. What model are these monitors?

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello, i need some help, i have 1280x1080 monitor, i can switch from 60hz to 75hz, in my screen res>advanced settings, but when i do so, my screen has a small black bar (about 2cm) on the right side of my screen, and it only happens when i'm on 1280x1080 and i toggle on 75hz, and i really want to get 75hz so i can play csgo with it, and in csgo if i change my res, the black bars go away, but i don't like playing at low res, because it's all blurry and that.

I'm not aware of any 1280x1080 monitors. What monitor is this? Are you using DVI? HDMI? VGA?

DVI, cable not sure if that matters.

What model is the monitor? Did you try all the timing options?

Sometime ago this new resolution shows up inside games menus, so i could just set it and everything works. Now the new resolutions do not appear anymore. I´m using the latest nvidia driver 384.76 in a fresh windows 10 64bit install.
What TV is this? 3200x1800 @ 60 Hz requires HDMI 2.0, but the EDID you showed me doesn't have HDMI 2.0 support.

Hi Toasty,

I'm having a similar issue to what is described (followed the instructions from the DF video and they don't show up in game or on the desktop).

I'm using a Sony X900E and I don't see similar settings anywhere to what you describe regarding HDR.

I have attached the "export" file in two formats which should help.

Display: Sony X9000E (X900E in the United States)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980ti

Do you have any advice?

According to a review I found, "Only HDMI inputs 2 and 3 are capable of showing 4k @ 60 Hz @ 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 color, and only when 'HDMI Enhanced Format' is enabled."

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello, I've used CRU a few years ago but may be out of the loop now. Have a Samsung 40" KU7000 4k TV which *mostly* works fine with Nvidia custom resolutions. Using a 21:9 custom res (3840x1620) and getting full range RGB thru Nvidia driver panel via HDMI 2.0. Some games respect this custom res well but others do not.

Can CRU 'help' these games (ie, Dirt 4, Ghost Recon Wildlands) into treating 3840x1620 as my native res? Since these games work fine on other UW (3440x1440) monitors according to many users. I've tried adding a custom 3840x1620 res in CRU but it lists 30hz as refresh rate (even though my native 2160p res is 60hz). Is it just enough to change that to 60hz? Without doing anything else to the other parameters, ie, front/back porch, sync width, etc? Thanks.

CRU can help more games recognize the resolution. You can change 30 Hz to 60 Hz as long as you're using HDMI 2.0. If you enable GPU scaling in the NVIDIA control panel, then the timing parameters don't matter because it will be scaled to the native resolution. If GPU scaling is not enabled, the TV will handle the resolution, so it will depend on what the TV will accept. Just try it and use anything that works.
