DisplayPort Cables
Dear All

I just bought a Dell UP2715K (5K) monitor to run from an Nvidia Quadro K4200 card.

The monitor comes with the usual 2 x 2M DisplayPort cables to support the full 5120 x 2880 resolution. A single cable supports only 3840 x 2160 4K.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to use 2 x 3M DisplayPort cables and still get the full 5K resolution?

I realise not many people are using these monitors yet so it may not be possible to get an answer right now.

ToastyX was kind enough to reply to a post about this last year to say 3M was possible but I thought I'd re-check in case there was any new info on this.

Thanks in advance.

Trevor

RE: DisplayPort Cables
If you can get 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz to work with a single 3M cable, then 5120x2880 should definitely work with two cables because 2560x2880 uses less bandwidth than 3840x2160.

Thanks again, ToastyX. That's what I was hoping to hear.
