Need some help disabling HDMI audio via EDID
Hello,
I have an LG 32LD450 TV as a PC monitor. I've been tearing my hair out trying to troubleshoot a 4:4:4 issue that has popped up in a recent AMD 14.6 driver update, and I'd be very grateful for some help. I'd like to edit the Edid info to disable HDMI audio. Disabling HDCP is fine if necessary. I've pulled the EDID data: Code: 00 ff ff ff ff ff ff 00 Editing EDID is something I know next to nothing about, so if someone could make the modifications to disable audio/hdmi audio I'd appreciate the help. Also, is it possible to alter the EDID in such a way that fools the system into thinking it's a plain old 1920x1080 monitor and not a TV at all? I've also zipped and attached the CRU generated .inf file for my TV. Could we modify that and I use it as a monitor driver to affect the above changes? Thanks again. |
