OC QNIX 2710 SE with ASUS STRIX GTX 970
HI,
I read over the guideline. I currently have a i7-4790k CPU and a GTX 970. I purchased a qnix 2710 SE matte, DVI only from ebay. I was able download and installed qnix.inf driver. Then I went to Nvidia control panel. I was able to get to 110 Hz with default DVI cable. and the settings from the screen shot. So my questions is: Do I need to install the NVIDIA Pixel Clock Patcher? I know it is not required for 780Ti, but what about a single gtx970? If it is required, what should I do now? uninstall monitor driver, patch nvidia pixel clock, reinstall qnix.inf driver? Also, I am not sure if the DVI cable is related, I am using the stock one that came with the monitor. If I need a better one, can you give me some suggestions with links? |

RE: OC QNIX 2710 SE with ASUS STRIX GTX 970
You don't need the patch if you're using the NVIDIA control panel to add custom resolutions with 600-series or newer cards unless you're using SLI. The SLI patch isn't needed for 780, Titan, and 900-series cards. The regular patch is always required for EDID overrides (CRU). You don't have to uninstall anything to use the patch.
