RE: Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE)
Hi toasty,

Should 21:9 resolutions work on a 16:9 display? My panel is 1440p native and I added 3840x1620 but it doesn't show (run cru restart and reboot)

Also - how can I remove VSR resolutions that show in windows but not in SRE? They showed up after I enabled VSR. I tried adding them into SRE and removing them but that didn't no anything.

EDIT: Figured it out. The detailed section needed some adjusting. The next problem is how to make it stay as a 21:9 resolution and not stretch it every time. The aspect ratio setting in adrenaline doesn't change anything Sad

Any resolution higher than the native resolution must match the aspect ratio of the native resolution for it to be available with VSR. The native resolution is always sent to the display, so if you change the native resolution using CRU, you need to use the display's own scaling options in the OSD, not AMD's control panel.

For removing the other resolutions, I will have to add them to the resolution list since those seem to be new, although 5120x2880 is already in the default list, so maybe that one isn't removable. Are there any 21:9 resolutions that can't be removed when you change the native resolution?

Thank you!

I see an EDID override. Did you use CRU? What did you change? NVIDIA ignores EDID overrides with DSC anyway, but maybe the presence of an override is having some effect. Run reset-all.exe and restart to remove the override.

Using Reset-all.exe did not fix it unfortunately...

Did you find any fix to that? Huh I have EXACTLY the same problem with my Samsung 57", Win 11 and RTX 4080. The 21:9 resolution (5120x2160px) is not shown in the list of available resolutions. Lower custom resolutions are populated correctly. Windows is also wrongly showing 3440x1440px as recommended resolution.
