RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Thanks the nvidia setting solved it. Incidentally on the setup program do the tick boxes relate to the current refresh rates you have installed? As I selected 120Hz strobed and 144Hz, however when I reopen setup its has 120Hz strobed and 121Hz selected every time.

I didn't realize that monitor could take 144 Hz, so I just assumed 121 Hz. You can use CRU to see what's currently installed. |

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Hello! I remember first time when I ran Strobelight it worked fine and on my monitors OSD it was enabled, I have an ASUS VG248QE, I remember I didn't like the colors so I disabled it, now that I want to start using it I uninstalled and reinstalled, chose 120hz strobed and 121hz non strobed first time, no difference, tried selecting more non strobed refresh rates, 121hz and 144hz, but still nothing, I did everything correctly, reboot after each uninstall/reinstall, I use a DVI cable so it should work (it did first time).
Things that may be worth mentioning: I use a custom ICC profile for this monitor, the Nvidia one that everyone uses, I use GeForce Experience and the driver is up to date. When I open Windows display adapter settings I don't see 121hz there (I did install it, right?) So this seems weird, changing brightness also does nothing, I don't know why it's not working, why is Lightboost greyed out in the OSD? Please help, thanks! EDIT: Nevermind, I left to get food, the monitor went on standby after 10 minutes and when I came back I noticed it isn't so bright, I check strobelight, change brightness to 100%, brighter! It works now, tested toggle on off also Also in windows adapter display settings whatever it says 120 and 121 hz, so now it seems properly installed even lol |

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
I just want to say, ToastyX: I've had an ASUS VG248QE for nearly 5 years now. I love it as much as the day I got it--the same day I installed Strobelight.
A random "fix" for peeps running dual-monitors, one LB and one without Lightboost, and you keep losing initialization: I have the ASUS VG248QE w/ LB connected via DVI and it'd been running Strobelight for 5 months happily + just got some no-name Dell 60Hz connected via HDMI. I just added secondary Dell monitor yesterday and ever since, the ASUS LB has required re-initialization every reboot (the monitor never was disconnected). Not a huge problem (always initialized once it started!), but it was a little issue. The fix:

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Hey!
I have two ASUS VG248QE screens and somehow I only have lightboost on one of the screens. (I've had both screens with lightboost before) but somehow now it doesnt work. When I launch strobelight setup it says (2 active) but only one is active. I tried reinstalling strobelight but still doesnt work, any ideas? |

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Hi,
I need help with setting up both StrobeLight and a custom resolution on CRU. I've done them separately in successful fashion. When i install strobelight i lose my custom resolution (1152x864). Do you know how to solve this? |
