how do you change the resolution on AMD Eyefinity?
Noob question, I know. Using my son's 7900XTX temporarily and I have three displays. I'm trying to finish Horizon Forbidden West, which will not play at 11520x2160 (on AMD nor NVidia. Crashes every time the game starts). I have been playing at 7680x1440 on my RTX 4090, but it's gotta go back for RMA and using my son's for the time being. I can't figure out how to change the resolution once I turn on Eyefinity though. It automatically goes to 3x4K. There is no option to add custom resolutions to an Eyefinity setup. Within Windows I can easily select 2560x1440 on all displays, but as soon as I turn on Eyefinity, it goes back to 3x4K.

I've tried messing around with Custom Resolution Utility, too. But it doesn't let me create resolutions that go beyond typical display resolutions (ie, typing in 7680), at least not anywhere I've been able to find. I think it should be a simple matter of finding where to change it within the Adrenalin software, but I can't find it.

Is there a way that I'm missing to add these resolutions within CRU?

edit: It seems to be a specific AMD driver thing since I've found another thread on LTT that had the same problem from 2022, and no one responding, no solution listed, etc. I've even gone so far as to use CRU and delete all 3840 resolutions. I have no problem displaying 2560x1440, but even with the 3840 resolutions gone, Adrenalin gives me 4098x768. All the rest of the resolutions are back to the regular options.

Eyefinity should have an option to customize the desktop resolution, or at least it used to, but AMD keeps changing the UI, so I don't know what it's like with recent AMD drivers. Someone mentioned the advanced UI is still available in C:\Program Files\AMD\CNext\CNext\EyefinityPro.exe

yea, I tried using that, too. When you set up Eyefinity through that, at the end it will have an option to change the resolution. When you click that button it opens up the Windows Display settings. And then there is just the 11520x2160, a few really fucked up resolutions, and then the regular ones (2560x1440 is there, but with Eyefinity on, it just looks fucked up)

Are they all the same monitor? Do they all have 2560x1440 defined in the EDID?

They are Samsung RU8000 55" 4K TVs. They do 2560 x 1440 at 100Hz and 120Hz. That's selectable within Windows in the Display settings. So, individually, yes, it's in the EDID. I'm not sure if there's something else that I'm missing.

(it took me a bit to figure out what link to use to insert the screen shots)
