stretched res for CS with LG 32gs95ue and RTX 5090
hello,
I have an LG 32gs95ue connected with DP 1.4 to new RTX 5090. My monitor supports 4k@240hz and 1080p@480hz (dual mode) with DSC on DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 I have a new 5090 and now with the recent drivers I cant use GPU scaling anymore to stretch 1440x1080 to 1920x1080 @480hz. I only have display scaling and my 4:3 resolutions are limited to 1024x768 or 800x600. Before, with my 4090 I was able to use GPU scaling and had zero issue with it. I could play on 1440x1080 stretched @480hz. Is there a workaround or is the 5090 more limited than the 4090 with DP 1.4 or HDMI ? Is this a driver issue (tried to fresh install and only connect this monitor without success) ? Thank you |

Is 1440x1080 listed in SRE? What about adding it to CRU and using display scaling?

I didn't try with CRU but I think my monitor dont support them with display scaling, only the resolution already there. I can create custom res in Nvidia panel but when I create a 1440x1080 resolution it says than my monitor dont support it when I hit "test", same with 1280x960. GPU scaling was the best and only ways to do it and now it's gone. |

And DLDSR is possible with my 5090 and my monitor with DSC without an issue. I thought DLDSR was not possible with DSC, I dont understand.
I was able to add 1440x1080 to display scaling with CRU ! Thank you toastyX ! |

RE: stretched res for CS with LG 32gs95ue and RTX 5090
And in my monitor information with 1440x1080 and display scaling it says 1920x1080. So is the GPU or the display scaling the resolution to full screen ? I have the impression that the GPU is doing it even if I cant select GPU scaling in the control panel, I'm confused. But I can play with 1440x1080 @480hz stretched now so I'm happy !

But I can play with 1440x1080 @480hz stretched now so I'm happy !Any resolution @ refresh rate combination listed in CRU is supposed to be display scaled, but if you switch to a lower resolution in the Windows display settings, it will be scaled to the current active resolution if the refresh rate is the same, so if you are in 1920x1080 @ 480 Hz mode and switch to 1440x1080, it will be scaled by the GPU. It shouldn't do that if you change the resolution in the NVIDIA control panel, or if you go to advanced display settings > display adapter properties > list all modes. If it does, it's some NVIDIA-specific scaling issue. I don't know if there's a way to control which method gets used in games. |
