Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

Hello, I have a problem with my recently bought RX 580 and a no name Vivax 24" LED TV connected using HDMI.
I was able to solve the grainy hdmi issue using AMD EDID UTILITY on my R9 270x because it supported VGA from which I could've pulled the EDID from and punched it in your CRU and it worked wonders!
But now the new RX 580 doesn't have any analog outs so I am unable to get a good EDID to add to the CRU.

I've tried the DVI>HDMI adapted and the same issue persists, I still have the working .bin file from the old r9 270x which I assume is useless in this case.

Any thoughts on where I should go from here? Thank you.

The EDID is by monitor, not GPU. You should be able to import the same .bin file.

First off all thank you for the fast replys.

Windows assumes the max resolution off the monitor is 3840x2160 and uses that, is there any way to block in windows that resolution?

Second "Check the extension blocks and the TV resolutions and HDMI data blocks." i dont know to do that, can you give me some instructions?

I told you, use CRU to delete 3840x2160. There should be an extension block. Edit that. Check the TV resolutions and HDMI data blocks for 3840x2160.

I told you, use CRU to delete 3840x2160. There should be an extension block. Edit that. Check the TV resolutions and HDMI data blocks for 3840x2160.

The default extension block is empty, cant see 3840x2160 anywhere, only in control panel in windows we see that resolution.

It didn't work, I have added it to all the monitor profiles listed in CRU but still it is overscanning and grainy.

If you don't need HDMI audio, delete the extension block.

Then delete the extension block. I don't know why it's not showing the extension block for you, but 3840x2160 is probably in there.

There isn't an extension block of any sort, should there be? on the old gpu it worked without them.
