Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

Does anyone know if a Samsung NU6900 TV (43 inch if it matters) can be pushed to >60hz effectively with this? I've attempted it, but if if the TV is capable of it I believe the bottleneck was the cable I use to go from my PC to my living room TV, which is about 50 feet. I managed to get a picture to the TV, but if I remember right the image did not fill the screen.

The NU6900 range is a fairly budget line of 4k TVs but if I could squeeze 1080p and 100+ frames out of it that would be cool. I tried searching and skimming the thread to no avail.

Hi ToastyX,

I have problems with CRU. I have an LG 24MP59G-P FreeSync monitor and RTX2060 videocard. I turned on freesync in the monitor settings and turned on g-sync in nvidia control panel. I have 1-2 seconds black screen when fps drops down, sometimes monitor goes black even if the FPS is stable. So thats why I tried to change the freesync range from 40-75 to 41-75 with CRU. Before doing this I turned off freesync on the monitor then I applied the new freesync range in CRU, then when I went to the monitor settings and turned on freesync, the monitor went completely black. At this time I can reach the monitor settings (OSD) but even if I turn freesync off, I can't get back the display. So I needed to push the power button 5-6 seconds long to turn off the computer then I needed to turn it on to have the monitor back. What should I do now to change the freesync range? Maybe Do I need to enable freesync while change the range is CRU? Or what didn't I pay enough attention to?

pixel clock is limited to 655.359 mhz, is there anyway to go above that?

Create DisplayID extension block. Then create timing there.

Intel GPUs don't support more than 300.99 MHz. The only thing you can do is reduce the totals as low as the monitor will allow.

Is there any way to make my GTX1050 as a default display graphic for monitor? someone said its because Optimus that makes it Intel as a default display graphic for monitor

yes you can do that, device manager>display adapters>intel gpu then right click on it and choose disable device

Could someone tell me if a vega 56 or 64 supports interlaced signal?
I would like to use it together with a crt monitor to achieve 1024x768 162hz interlaced here.

You should have FreeSync enabled when changing the range because some monitors change the EDID when enabled, so the computer will see it as a different monitor. Changing the range from 40-75 to 41-75 shouldn't cause a black screen. It sounds like you encountered a driver bug or you wouldn't be able to see the screen after rebooting. Try rebooting after making changes instead of running restart.exe. Just make sure you can get into safe mode to undo changes if necessary.

After I disabled Intel GPU my external monitor instantly went black and only my Laptop display on but using microsoft display instead of using Nvidia Graphics driver as a display. Ive tried disable and re-enable and reinstall nvidia and intel graphics driver but still the problems remain the same
