RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi ToastyX, I don't think this is a cru problem but maybe here can help me out, this is my problem..
I can create a 4k exact resolution using CRU, with let's say we 300 lines of back porch.. when gaming using RTSS, when the sync value is 0 the tearline might or not show up on screen (this is ok), at 1 it shows at the 1/10th of the screen (more or less which is ok), the problem starts here, if you start moving the tearline down you can see the sync value changing but the tearline wont move until you get to 210 (300-90), after 210 you will see the line moving down, the last visible line for the tearline is always 90 lines before the total vertical and the tearline will stay up at the top of the screen while the sync value is lower than the vertical blanking. resuming, no matter the vertical blanking I use (tried with up to 2500VT using CRU) I only have 90 lines below the active image. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi, I was wondering if CRU could change Miracast connected wireless display resolution or not? I've already tried but had no luck, as miracast driver settings does not show my custom added 1600x2560 resolution via CRU.
To be more specific: I'm extending my laptops display with Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 tablet, which has 1600x2560 native resolution, but somehow I cant use it, as display setting max is 1440x2560, thus I have huge black lines on top and bottom of my tablet while using it as wireless display. |

This is impossible because it can only be using what you loaded. I see, thank you very much, I'll try your EDID right away. I hope windows will list it, I'd like to be able to normally use the PC on the SD-CRT Tv but perhaps they removed this possibility. I copy/pasted your values into a TXT file (390 bytes) and loaded it on Nvidia CP. It loaded succesfully on the DVI-I port. Windows set it as inactive by default (I get "show only on 1" option), I cannot extend the monitors. Tomorrow I'll connect the UMSA and try "show only on 2" option. I'll make you know if it'll work. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Looks like The monitor which I have been purchased recent day has HDR10+ facility, is this the world's first monitor to support that facility? anyway my question is how do I edit that edid with cru tool, as you can see it completely greyed out! is there any other way where I can view what information inside on it with 6 bytes data? Optional request: Do you have newer version of advantiv-edidgold? looks like they takendown their download link for harsh matter https://ez.analog.com/video/w/documents/...did-editor |

Gray just means CRU can't edit it, but it's not disabled. The HDR10+ data block is a vendor-specific data block, so I don't have any information on how to decode it. There doesn't seem to be anything useful to edit anyway. The first 5 bytes are basically the header which indicates it's an HDR10+ data block, so that only leaves 1 byte of actual data, which is probably just a version number. I've already tried that and it's a complete weird situation, my drivers will detect the vertical total but RTSS will say VT the sum of back poch+sync+active, the front porch is not taken into count. I have even reinstalled windows and is the same. |
