It certainly should be able to do 120hz and HDR without Gaming Mode enabled.The issue you're having is unrelated to CRU not being able to read the extension blocks. There's some NVIDIA-specific driver limitation involved, probably the GPU scaling issue that Ronyn77 mentioned because NVIDIA can't scale with DSC. Is there a method to verify whether the video card is utilizing DSC for output and scaling? |

I changed the speaker configuration to 7.1 too. Afterward, I restarted both the video card and the PC, and upon checking with Moninfo, it's evident that the information remained unchanged. This could potentially contribute to other issues.MonInfo won't tell you what's taking effect. It's showing you the original EDID. Your screen shot with the changed ID shows it's active. Try the changed device ID with the "Extension override" data block deleted. Don't change AC-3. Delete the LPCM with 2 channels. If that's not working after restarting, run EDID-test.exe and post the test.txt file. |

Added the two blank extension blocks but it didn't help. When I go to type over the ID the text is red and the ok button is greyed out. Maybe CRU's days are over for new Samsung TV owners with Nvidia GPUs. I can't help thinking whatever change either side made may have been intentional. I'm probably just giving them too much credit there though. |
