Knowing this, is it possible to add a custom resolution to each monitor, and somehow make the radeon software make an eyefinity resolution, from that custom resolution?

These are the standard resolutions for the monitors, and the only resolution allowed thus is 5760x1080.
I would like a different resolution with same aspect ratio of 48:9
like 4800 x 900 for example
Reason is, my gpu struggles to make acceptable framerates in some games.
ToastyX maybe you have some idea?
If you make 1600x900 the first detailed resolution on all the monitors, then Eyefinity should use 4800x900.

the resolution im trying to get is 1720x1080 Im using the Odyssey G40B 240 hz monitor connected to nvidia rtx 3060 ti, also Im using it connected via DVI port I think, im not sure, all I know is that it is not hdmi
Your monitor doesn't support the resolution correctly. Use GPU scaling.

(The goal here is to use two old monitors with Linux but getting all the settings correctly set up is kind of a nightmare there. Your software is just amazing for tinkerers and is, in itself almost always a reason to have a Windows partition when wanting to tackle the display.
You don't need to write the EDID to the display. Linux has EDID overrides, and X has custom resolutions using modelines or xrandr.

(even if like... living within the winget folders and not being truly "installed" anywhere? Automated updates... even if its living in the downloads folder... would be oh-so-lovely: https://github.com/microsoft/winget-pkgs)
I'll look into it, but probably not until CRU 2.0.

In the CTA-861 extension block, delete the 4:2:0 capability map data block, and then add a TV resolutions data block with 4:2:0 resolutions enabled, and try adding 3840x2160 @ 120 Hz in there.

No dice. The 4:2:0 block seems to get ignored entirely? I tried adding lower resolutions like 2160p48 and 720p120 and they don't show up either.

I changed all available entries to 1600x900

It didn't use 4800x900 and only 5760x1080 is available.

I changed all the extension blocks from 1920x1080 to 1600x900, but that didn't help either.

You probably still have 1920x1080 somewhere, such as in the TV resolutions data block. You said only 5760x1080 is available, but I see other resolutions. Instead of using CRU, try adding 4800x900 using SRE: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Threa...Editor-SRE

That's something AMD would have to fix, but maybe they blocked it because they didn't intend to support any HDMI 2.1 features with Polaris/Vega even though HDMI 2.0 can technically do it.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
That didn't work unfortunately. Virtual super resolution, either on or off. Didn't see the custom resolution in list for eyefinity off, one monitor each.
Only thing probably is to look deeper for 1980x1080 with CRU and remove it/change to 1600x900.
I suppose the problem with that, 4800x900 is that i can't quickly return to 5760x1080, if i wanted to.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 laptop with a Full HD 1920x1080 monitor, the refresh rate is 120, there are 2 video cards, built-in AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, and a discrete 1650Ti. The monitor was able to overclock to 144 Hertz using your application, but I wonder if it can be overclocked to 165 or higher. I'm playing CS 2 with a resolution of 1280 by 1080 and I can go to any tricks to overclock the monitor to even higher frequencies.
You didn't say what happens if you try to go higher.
I'm starting to have artifacts on the screen, everything is flickering, the colors have changed, in short, complete chaos.

I'm not an expert at this, but according to TechTerms, one of the three factors that define the maximum refresh rate is the one your video cards support. What is the maximum in your case?
