I have a Nvidia GTX 980 Ti hooked up using HDMI 2.0 to a reciever and HDR projector, but can only get RGB full range 12bpc at 30hz 3840x2160 or less, and at 30hz the input lag drives me nuts. I have tried everything i can think of to get it to a higher refresh rate. I dont even need the 12bcp, i would be fine with 10bpc but i can only get 10bpc to work with 4:2:2 enabled and text looks like crap.HDMI 2.0 can only do 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz at 8 bpc with RGB 4:4:4. 10/12 bpc would require YCbCr 4:2:2. yeah but what if i drop the refresh rate to something just above 30hz |

If it will accept arbitrary timings, then all you need to do is keep the pixel clock below 480 MHz for 10 bpc and 400 MHz for 12 bpc. There's also the issue that audio requires some horizontal blanking, so that might reduce what you can get with audio. |

Intel GPUs without HDMI 2.0 only support up to 300.99 MHz pixel clock. "Native PC" or "Exact" timing will keep 1680x1080 @ 144 Hz under the limit. |
