It works fine on official 24.1.1, just not NimeZ. Why? ThanksThe R.ID installer is using the RX 5000/6000/7000-series driver instead of the Polaris/Vega driver. That driver is different, so I have to go through and find all the limits again. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you can dial it in for us bro! Do you know how to use the ReLive encoder on the integrated Vega 8 to record the video from the primary GPU, RX 480? Because I feel I can record a better result by doing so... Thanks PS - Which R.ID driver can I use with the atikmdag-patcher-1.4.14? Because I'm currently using 24.1.1 official drivers. |

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Any news for the bios signature check for Polaris/Vega when using latest R.ID 24.3.1 driver?

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
I've updated the patcher to support R.ID 24.3.1: atikmdag-patcher-1.4.15.zip
This will probably be the last major update since my Polaris card is dying, and I had to dig up two old monitors to find all the limits again. This took so long because I had to do some research and testing, so I kept putting it off since the official driver still worked. I found that AMD split the driver into RDNA and Polaris/Vega branches starting with 23.9.2, but the RDNA driver was basically the same until 23.11.1 and still had Polaris/Vega support. Then in 23.12.1, they started making major changes to the RDNA driver. That is the last RDNA driver that works with Polaris/Vega as far as I know. That is the latest kernel driver that R.ID is currently using for Polaris/Vega. Then in 24.1.1, AMD seemed to remove Polaris/Vega support from the RDNA driver, so there won't be any updates for this branch, and RDNA users shouldn't need the patcher anyway. So basically this only affects one particular driver version that happens to be an outlier, and only because R.ID is using the RDNA driver for Polaris/Vega instead of the official Polaris/Vega driver. |
