To display 3840x1600 as native, you need to select the 3840x1600 resolution first in the "Detailed resolutions (2 slots left)" tab. Just pull it up and leave it as the first one, instead of 2560x1080. Nothing more

Doing this in CRU after 556.12 driver, the 3840x1600 is stuck at 60Hz

When I contacted NVIDIA, they initially told me it was a bug in the driver, but so far no solution, no answers

Strange isn't it? I don't know what to do to fix it
So did you try adding 3840x1600 @ 120 Hz or not? I said to do that three months ago, but you never confirmed if that worked. The behavior you described is incorrect. Just making 3840x1600 @ 60 Hz the first detailed resolution would only make 60 Hz available for DSR. You also need to add 3840x1600 @ 120 Hz separately if you want 120 Hz for DSR. Whatever was happening before doesn't make sense because without 3840x1600 @ 120 Hz defined, the driver would have to scale to 3840x2160 @ 120 Hz instead. Check the active signal resolution in the Windows advanced display settings.

I apologize if I didn't answer you, but I think I tried, it didn't work

It actually appears in red when I type 120Hz

Or am I doing something wrong? In the "Detailed resolutions (2 slots remaining)" tab, correct?

I forgot to send the link

Read the first post. You need to use a DisplayID extension block. You definitely didn't add 120 Hz if you're asking this.

I have no idea how to do it, can you explain, please?

Add an extension block and change the type to DisplayID 1.3. Then add a detailed resolutions data block and add 3840x1600 @ 120 Hz in there.

Ok, done as you said, 3840x1600 120Hz, applied and restarted

In the "Detailed resolutions" tab, 3840x1600 60Hz continues to appear

Sorry, what else do I need to do?

That should be all you need to do. Is 3840x1600 @ 120 Hz still not available? Export another file so I can see. Does display scaling vs. GPU scaling in the NVIDIA control panel make any difference?

I just redo everything again, same result

Display scaling, GPU scaling, same thing, no success

Edit, just an update after making the DisplayID extension block

On the NVIDIA panel, the color depth setting was at 8 bits by default after these changes, so I set it to 10 bits again as it was, saved and the screen went black. Luckily it reversed itself

Something really isn't right

I feel like both drivers are broken. The new driver is broken because what you have should work. The old driver is broken because if 3840x1600 @ 120 Hz didn't exist in the EDID, then how is DSR working at 120 Hz? It would have to GPU scale the DSR resolution to 3840x1600 and then GPU scale that to 3840x2160, or it's lying about the refresh rate. You should check the info section in the TV's menu and see what resolution and refresh rate it's really receiving.

I agree

But everything is being displayed as it should. I've been using these settings since I set it to 21:9 ultrawide. It's always been like this, setting 60Hz on the CRU, it's always worked, with dozens of drivers up to the 556.12

Very strange, I think I'll have to stay on it for a while longer, or stop using DSR to update the drivers

Anyway, thanks for your patience and help
