RE: Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE)
My default resolution is 5120x1440 which doesn't natively support VSR. I can override it with your program, and I get get it to work once installed (and restart.exe via CRU).
But when I turn off my PC and turn it back on, it seems to break my AMD drivers (black screen and GPU fans not running). Then I have to go through DDU and do a reinstall. I've tried to troubleshoot the issues, but I can't get it to work after rebooting. It's a great tool for upscaling from lower resolutions (via Lossless Scaling) to the VSR resolution before downscaling back to native 5120x1440. Anything else I could potentially try? I'm running an egpu laptop setup via M.2 to Oculink adapter, so maybe that's causing the issue. My display is connect to my eGPU. |

I don't see how SRE alone could cause that to happen unless there's a bug in AMD's driver. You shouldn't need to use DDU either. Booting Windows in safe mode and using the "Default" button should be enough. What happens if you disable fast startup? https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1045548/ |

RE: Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE)
I happly used SRE for quite a while on my RTX3070 Graphicscard with my G93SC Monitor. I created smaller resolution so I could select them for windowed games.
Today I switched to a RTX5070Ti and it doesn't work anymore. I reimported my old resolutions and they show up in SRE. I tried restarting the graphics driver and also restaring the whole PC, but the resolutions don't show up in Windows to select to in games to select. (3440x1375@240Hz) When switching Graphicscard I also updatet my Graphicsdriver on the current version 572.83. Does anyone have an idea, what the reason could be, and how to fix? |

You'll notice the default scaled resolutions aren't available either. You'll have to report the issue to NVIDIA and wait for them to fix it. SRE still works with 5000-series GPUs for monitors without DSC. |

RE: Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE)
Well I am confused.
I used the same monitor and the same cable. The RTX3070 also supports DSC. Back then, I didn't get CRU to work and you recommended SRE instead, which worked like a charm. Now with the switch to RTX5070Ti SRE doesn't work anymore, but I tried CRU again, and now this works without any problems. So problem solved, but I don't really know why. |

NVIDIA ignores EDID overrides with DSC anyway, but maybe the presence of an override is having some effect. Run reset-all.exe and restart to remove the override.
Using Reset-all.exe did not fix it unfortunately...
Did you find any fix to that? ![]()
What is weird is that 5120x2160 worked at the time of Red Dead Redemption launch. Maybe I was running an older firmware back then on the G95NC. It's so annoying it does no longer work... |

RE: Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE)
I used to use SRE to create a custom res of 2304x1440 240hz, I installed my 50 series card yesterday and noticed I can no longer use SRE, also can't seem to set the res up in CRU either sadly.
Happened to read a few posts above where someone also just installed a 50 series and can no longer use SRE, so just assuming we have to wait for a fix on nvidias end? |

If the monitor can't handle the resolution, you can try GPU scaling. |
