It doesn't matter. The timing parameters don't affect the image quality. If you want exactly 60 Hz, leave the vertical total at 1125 and just change 1080 to 1079. You don't need to change anything else.

CRU uses the CEA standard for TV resolutions and CVT-RB for everything else. That's why the timing parameters change with 1920x1079. Just use the 1920x1080 timing parameters and change the resolution manually.

I'm afraid I don't understand. In Windows, with regular drivers, I have both 23 and 24 in the list. And they both exist independently. madVR is capable of selecting one or the other. At least, this is how I remember it before installing and using CRU. Am I remembering wrong?

I have AMD Crimson driver 16.5.3 which has the ability to create custom resolutions. In the category "base mode" I have to enter horizontal/vertical resolution, refresh rate, interlaced/progressiv and timing standard. In the category detailed timings I can enter the porches.
The interesting thing is: You can enter what you want at "refresh rate" and this naming is then taken by Windows.
I can e.g. create 2 custom resolutions 47.952Hz and 48.000Hz (in my setup they are actually a little bit smaller so the 48.000Hz becomes a 47.999xxxxHz refresh rate) and call them "47" and "48". In Windows they appear now with these names in the listing of supported resolutions. There´s no plausibility check, if I want, I can call them "46" and "41".

That shouldn't happen unless there's a driver bug. Did you choose "Custom extension block"? Don't use "No extension block" with NVIDIA. What monitor do you have? If you're using HDMI, make sure to add an HDMI support data block in the custom extension block. The defaults should be fine.

The nVIDIA drivers works fine. I tried with several drivers and the result is always same: black screen (monitor no receives signal from VGA) after sleep or hibernation.
I am using "Custom extension block" slots, but "Detailed resolutions" slots too. All with custom parameter cloning CVT-RB values from nVIDIA driver to each resolution.
My LG 22MP55D monitor interface is DVI-D (single). Although I not tried "HDMI Support" in Data blocks. It is strictly necessary to DVI-D?

Hi, I can't seem to get 75Hz to be shown in testufo.com. However, when I enable VSync in games (osu!, CS:GO) the fps gets locked at 75, as expected. [Image: http://puu.sh/pmh6b/99626418d7.png]
Is this because my timings are too low? Is there a limit to how low the timings can go? Sometimes, when I set the timings too low, it won't show up in Windows. When that happens does that mean that that's the lowest my monitor can do?

Monitor: LG E2441V-BN
Cable: Dual link DVI
GPU: Sapphire HD7850

edit: Turns out I have single link DVI. I found a HDMI cable, but looks like my monitor can't go past 165MHz on the pixel clock.
edit 2: Maybe my HDMI cable isn't a high speed one... so maybe that's why it can't go over 165MHz?

I used to get the same thing on single link DVI, so maybe it's my monitor?

I just sold my AMD card and picked up a GTX 1080 and I am having the washed out color issue, on only 1 of my 3 monitors. In the NCP, I do not have the option to change the RGB spectrum to full. It doesn't even give me the option (it does on the other monitors). Setting a custom resolution in NCP doesn't stick either. I apply it, and the next time I go back in, its back to the "native" resolution.

Can anyone help me solve this?

When I set my Laptop from 1600 x 1200 (6:10) to 1600 x 1080 (6:9) my screen looks like this.

1600 x 1080 some weird aspect ratio

1600 x 900 is 16:9
