Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

So I successfully changed an AMD R9 fury x crossfire to 3840 x 2160 @ 60fps, on an E6 OLED, very cool. Took me a while to figure out toggling the Display scale to turn on the Virtual Super Resolution. I have no idea what is going on with that but it works like a charm.

The only slight trouble I have is my audio only works up to 44100 hz. I can't go above that: either 1) The selection is not present, no matter how I configure the audio formats or the HDMI imports, or 2) I change drivers using realtek, which lets me go all the way to 192,000hz but the audio breaks consistentl, which I believe is a latency issue.

Any ideas how to fix this?

In the mean time, 44100hz works perfectly, and overall this was a pretty great experience, definitely worth doing, I'm just a bit of an audiophile and miss my high format audio.

I have a question for you m8 is any possible way to pick (for Really Heavy Games) some lower custom resolution eg. 2048:1152 or some 2100 or 2200?
Any res. i try gives me some Blur on Image (not so Crisp like default 2560:1440 70Hz or 60Hz)
IMO im new to this Tek so i don't know stuff yet, Help if you can.

Lower resolutions on LCD monitors have to be scaled up to the native resolution, so there will always be some blur. The only way to avoid this is to center the image and leave the unused areas black.

If you had to enable Virtual Super Resolution (VSR) to get 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz, then you're not getting true 3840x2160. VSR creates virtual resolutions that are scaled down to the highest available resolution. You need HDMI 2.0 to get true 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz. The Fury X doesn't have HDMI 2.0, so you'll need an active DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 adapter like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0194F1MY4/?tag=mtests-20#ad

If the TV supports higher sample rates, you shouldn't have to do anything. It should work out of the box, and the sample rates should already be defined in the extension block.

Hi.
I'm using an r9 270x video card and i have a problem on setting the monitor refresh rate.
I have changed all the resolutions hz to 75,then i run the restart64 (i'm using windows 10 64 bit pro)I set 75hz from the monitor settings in windows 10 settings and then when i restart my pc it reset to 60hz. So i decided to check the cru and it say that all the resolutions are set to 75hz, then i went to the win10 monitor settings and see that there are 2 options: 60hz and 75hz.
How it is possible if i have removed all the 60 hz resolutions by using cru?

I've been referred to use this program by a friend. I was told that it can fix the issue in WIN 10 where it doesn't allow you to change the scaling setting to monitor scaling. Can this program fix that, or am I stuck on GPU scaling, which adds input lag.

Sometimes lower numbers help. Since this monitor is known to handle 1920x1080 @ 72-76 Hz with certain timing parameters, maybe try taking the "LCD reduced" timing parameters for 1920x1080 @ 72 Hz and apply it to 960x720 @ 72/75 Hz:

H: 960 32 40 48 120 1080 +
V: 720 3 5 5 13 733 +

The results may be different with HDMI vs. DisplayPort.

I gave up on a custom resolution at higher refresh rate, but I have found the U2414H monitor is capable of 1920x1080 at 76 Hz max.

Funnily enough, when I tried 77 Hz or 78 Hz in CRU, after restarting the driver, those refresh rates were not available to set in the display settings. I was using LCD reduced settings.

There are users on AVSforum trying to make custom resolutions of 3840x2160 120Hz, but it seems like CRU doesn't let you make custom resolutions with a pixel clock greater than 655MHz, which means you're limited to 77Hz at 3840x2160.
