I have enabled that setting a few times now, but it results in severe flickering. I quickly concluded that it was because my PC was defaulting to 12bit signal while still serving a 60hz 4k signal. Lowering the refresh rate to 30hz stabilized desktop conditions.

This allowed me to get it to at least show up as a resolution. However, when I caused the video card to scale instead of the display, the 4k signal @ 60z failed to work in game without the same flickering. Even though I've set it to not use HDR (manually lowered to 8bit and disabled the setting in windows), it still seems like it's causing an issue somewhere.

Is it likely these symptoms would be caused by the cable not being full HDMI 2.0? I'm not entirely sure of what specs this cable has. I don't have any "definitely full bandwidth 2.0" cables lying around to swap out with. I suspect this because my only colour output format option at 60hz is YCbCr420 (when in 8 bit).

Hi, im trying to use 1920x1080@75hz, but when i select it, it won't display.
Monitor Philips PHI-234E5EDSB connected to gtx 1070 via hdmi cable.

Greetings, I used CRU and managed to get Freesync working on my LG 43UD79-B monitor(contrary to what the Internet is saying, this monitor does not include Freesync feature as confirmed by LG techs). It works when I use a mini Displayport to HDMI 1.2 adapter connected via a High-Speed HDMI cable, but I can't get 4K resolution working due to the HDMI 1.2 adapter version. I bought a new mini Displayport to HDMI 2.0 adapter and I can go to 4K at 60HZ refresh rate resolution but I can't get Freesync working via Radeon Crimson settings. I tried it lowering the res to 1920x1080 but still can't get Freesync. Any suggestions?

When we can have HDR Support in CRU?
There is some semi-HDR standard that is not quite Full HDR and we (10Bit LED owners) can have it Big Grin

CRU can't get around monitor limitations. The monitor has to support the resolution you're trying to use.

If you want FreeSync, get a FreeSync monitor. Tricking the driver only works in specific conditions imposed by the driver.

I have no idea what you're asking. CRU doesn't mess with HDR. The monitor has to support HDR.

I bought this monitor because it was touted as a Freesync monitor. If you search for LG 43UD79-B, you'll see this monitor is supposed to be Freesync compatible. It wasn't after I connected that I found out it wasn't. I called LG and they confirmed the monitor wasn't Freesync. I kept it as it kicked my old monitor out.
Thanks for the utility. I use it for overclocking refresh-rates. Donation on the way.

Im using the default resolution 1920x1080@60hz, but im trying to overclock it to 75hz.
You mean i can't overclock past 60hz with this monitor?

I don't have that monitor. I don't know what it will accept. Did you try all the timing options? Did you try 74 Hz or lower?
