My problem is that I have been using this application for 8 months without any problems and today I suddenly have artifacts with the image moving. I have a gtx 1060 and Acer GN246HL. When I choose any non-strobe resolution it works fine. What could have happened? Thanks.
Try unplugging the monitor's power for a minute to reset the monitor.

It worked! Thank you very much, I thought something was broken: D

No, that's not a LightBoost monitor. Doesn't that monitor have its own backlight strobing feature built in? You shouldn't need software for it.

G-SYNC monitors support ULMB with NVIDIA cards, so you don't need to use LightBoost. Strobelight only supports the monitors listed in the first post.

Never. NVIDIA locked 3D Vision and LightBoost with encryption to prevent third-parties from using it. You shouldn't need LightBoost with that monitor anyway. It has a motion blur reduction option that uses backlight strobing.

Hi,

I have recently had to reformat and have changed from windows 7 to 10. I had no issues with strobelight on windows 7 but in windows 10 I have issues where lightboost will disable itself when loading certain games notably Player Unknown's Battlegrounds. Lightboost re-enables when I alt tab to desktop and disables again when returning to the game. This does not happen on some other games such as Overwatch and it worked fine in every game on windows 7. Any ideas?

Monitor: Benq XL2420t
GPU: gtx1070
Resolution: 1920x1080 120Hz

That means the game is running at the wrong refresh rate. If the game has a refresh rate option, make sure it's set to 120 Hz. Also, check the NVIDIA control panel under "Manage 3D settings" and make sure "Preferred refresh rate" is set to "Application-controlled" and not "Highest available" so it doesn't try to force 121 Hz. Another option is to use the setup program to get rid of 121 Hz altogether, leaving LightBoost on all the time.
