The patcher makes a copy of the driver before modifying it, so any driver issues will show the new location regardless of the cause. The patched folder looks fine. |

I don't know what specifically because I've never been able to reproduce this on any system. A normal Windows installation would not have this problem. |

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Thanks for the link, though I already had that installed
Any errors I had seems to be fixed on 17.4.4, I haven't tried newer versions without the patch but if the new 17.7.1 gives me errors aswell might try doing so |

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
i reflashed the orignal bios on my rx 580 cards.
uninstalled drivers with ddu in save mode tried to install 17.7.1 drivers (i updated to 17.7.2 and my rig kept rebooting / kept beeing highly unstable / afterburner did not work anymore) software says its installed (does not ask me for a reboot) when i try to run the patcher, i get this error all the time "failed to locate driver file" took me hours yesterday without any luck, anyone that knows what im doing wrong? disconnected 5 cards, trying to get 1 working first. thanks |

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
there was new re-release of the 17.7.2 drivers
old whql-win7-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-relive-17.7.2-july26.exe new whql-win7-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-relive-17.7.2-july27.exe seems they fixed the Windows 7 issues with ID as beta drivers etc. also the missing features are now present ... anyone used 17.7.2 yet with AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher ? |

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Hi Toasty, I utilized the pixel clock patcher and reduced the pixel clock rate to 150MHz and applied and bingo! worked perfectly my monitor displays clearly in 2560x1080 Mode. But, whenever my monitor/cpu goes to sleep or restart, it starts back in the original mode 1920x1080 (blurry and I have to reset it again) any ideas on how to change it and make it stick?
My setup: Dell OptiPlex 980 SFF i7 Win10 Pro ATI Radeon HD4550 with DVI output > HDMI cable convertor LG Ultra Widescreen 34UM59-P Monitor THanks!! |
