First, it's not possible to add 2560x1600 @ 50 Hz as a standard resolution, and you don't need to anyway because it's already defined as a detailed resolution twice. You only need it once.

Second, according to your attachments in that thread, you're using a portable device with an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor. I don't know if the built-in GPU supports pixel clocks greater than 165 MHz, which is required for 2560x1600 @ 50 Hz. The driver might be crashing because it can't find a usable resolution, but that would be a driver bug because it should at least provide a lower resolution instead of crashing.

Third, CRU requires a driver that supports EDID overrides. I don't know if the driver for that GPU supports EDID overrides. If it does, try adding 2560x1600 @ 30 Hz to keep the pixel clock under 165 MHz and see if that shows up. Then try importing the hdmi.dat file to fix the extension block: https://www.monitortests.com/hdmi.dat

CRU doesn't deal with scaling. That's up to the graphics driver. Make sure the game is using the correct refresh rate. Some games use the desktop refresh rate. I don't see why the driver is adding 143 Hz and 128 Hz as scaled resolutions but not 60 Hz. You might be better off making sure 1280x960 and 1920x1080 have the same refresh rates in CRU. The NVIDIA control panel has an "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs" option that you can try, but I don't know what that's supposed to do. If you have a "Preferred refresh rate" option in the 3D settings, try setting that to "Highest available" so it uses 144 Hz.

The problem i'm having is that I'm trying to use CRU to bypass the GPU scaling so i can use my display's scaling for reduced input lag. tricking it with CRU into thinking 1280x960 is native is the only way to truly prevent GPU scaling from taking over in an application.

I think i figured it out but I'm not sure how fixable it is, its pretty much exclusive to games that don't have a refresh rate you can force.
while the games still run at the proper 1280x960@ 144hz the weird auto detecting(NOT VSYNC) of refresh rate puts khz @ 157 instead of 140 that's set in CRU when using LCD reduced timings,
while games that allow me to force refresh rate to 144 via in game menus or launch options run at 140khz/144hz according to my monitors OSD & on the 2 games in question that both auto detect have it set to 157khz/144hz.

i think the only solution would be to make a manual custom resolution of 1280x960 that runs at 157khz/144hz but i would not know where to begin when it comes to the manual setting, also when resetting everything and running it on default my native resolution runs at 157khz/144hz according to my OSD

GPU scaling doesn't add lag, and you shouldn't need to trick it. If you have both 1920x1080 @ 144 Hz and 1280x960 @ 144 Hz defined in CRU with display scaling set in the NVIDIA control panel, then 1280x960 @ 144 Hz should never be scaled unless the driver is broken.

The horizontal kHz is the total number of lines per second, so of course it's going to be higher if 1280x960 is being scaled to 1920x1080. Games like that usually use the desktop refresh rate. 157 kHz matches the horizontal scan rate for 1920x1080 @ 143 Hz with "LCD reduced" timing. Sounds to me like the game is actually using 143 Hz and your monitor is misreporting it as 144 Hz. This shouldn't happen if you define 144 Hz for both 1280x960 and 1920x1080.

So you have already tested it,that's why it didn't work when i tested on AMD
What about nvidia,it works with that?
I edit byte 15 and 16 of the 18 bytes (0 to 17) of the detailed timing descriptor and edit the checksum byte of the EDID block,is this correct?
GPU scaling works good only for certain resolutions,i need it for a 4:3 CRT monitor,i set a 4:3 resolution and from that i get the 16:10 and 16:9 version without changing the video timings and so without having to adjust the geometry again.
Can you add GTF to CRU?

The driver only reports the settings in the regular Windows sound control panel. Since I posted this, the driver is now reporting my settings of Dolby Digital and DTS Audio under "Supported Formats" (previously it showed the TV's defaults of Liner PCM, Dolby Digital+, and DTS+). However, it is still only reporting 2 speakers attached instead of 5.1 as specified.

The weird thing is, CRU doesn't let me to add 2048x1536 or 1600x1200 in any refresh rate.(50 hz- 25 hz) I even tried to change clock speed.

Yes it is a LattePanda maker pc with LVDS&HDMI output. According to manufacturers data it supports 4K x 2K (3840x2160) @ 30Hz or 2560x1600 @ 60Hz 12 EUs inside (Up to 700MHz) with triple monitör support. Yes, the driver crashes thus I tried to add display adapters list of modes data 2560x1600 without success.

Actually I borrowed another mini itx motherboard with intel hd 500. The device couldnt either wake up the monitor but never crashed this time.
Thanks to VGA output so I could see what happens there. Intel driver can find the monitör but not the refresh rate so it sets 0 hz.

What I have done to succeed is installing Intel Hd 500 driveer manually. Now the monitör Works with mini itx computer.

When it comes to Lattepanda Pc with Intel 400 display adapter, installing the driver manually didn't fix it.

Hardware

Display- Samsung KS8000
AV Receiver- Yamaha RX-V381
GPU- GTX 1080 TI

At 4k resolution (3840 x 2160) and 60Hz refresh rate, I am unable to change any color settings in the Nvidia Control Panel. The only options available are

Desktop color depth: Highest (32-bit)
Output color depth: 8 bpc
Output color format: YCbCr420
Output dynamic range: Limited

If I set the refresh rate to 30Hz, I am able to select more color options.

Using a new 18gbs HDMI cable, I've tried every port on the TV, set the TV input to 'PC' and went directly from the GPU to the TV (circumventing the AVR), still only YCbCr420 and the settings listed above.

3840 x 2160 is only available under "Ultra HD, HD, SD" in Nvidia Control Panel, not PC.

I know the hardware- GPU, TV, AVR- all support 4:4:4 and 10 bit color.

Is there a way to force adding it as a "PC" resolution, capable of using 4:4:4, 10 bit color, would that even work?

I've been tinkering for about an hour to no avail and didn't find anyone else who tried on a ThinkPad/Lenovo. I just can't get any of the custom res/hz to show up after restart.

Laptop: ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5th Gen
dGPU: Intel 620 (22.20.16.4815 | 9/26/2017)
Display: LEN40A9 (1080p Internal IPS panel)

Here's a screen shot of the default resolution and refresh rate (Pixel Clock = 141MHz)
