Patching the driver won't help with lower refresh rates.

Have you tried adding a detailed resolution and just changing the refresh rate? If that doesn't work, try the "LCD standard" and "LCD reduced" timing options.

I wanted to create a working setup with 1680*1050 for each screen.
it is working good but after a reboot, the "effect" has gone and the screens turn back to 60 Hz instead of 58 which I set for all screens before with CRU.
I already tried both methods for Nvidia cards ( disable the extension block and make sure GeForce Experience and Samsung Magician are not installed, or enable the extension block and import this file: blank-extension.dat)
Is this an issue with the current Nvidia driver?

I can't see the thread. Are you using Surround? NVIDIA broke EDID overrides with Surround in 331.40. The last working driver is 327.23: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-win7-w...river.html

Hello, New user here. I have a X-star running at 100hz in Nvidia control panel with a GTX570 w/ Pixel clock patcher on. I'm having a problem with the CRU, however...

In detailed Resolutions, i have added a new 1440p resolution set at 100.00hz. So now, when i go to a game, it shows that i can set the game's refresh rate to 100hz, but when i enable it, my actual fps goes to 50! So for some reason, i'm getting half the refresh rate that i set it to in detailed resolutions. Any ideas?

The refresh rate should not affect the frame rate unless you're using vsync. With vsync, if the video card is not powerful enough to render 100 FPS, the frame rate will drop to 50 FPS.

That's the way vsync works. Either disable vsync, or try NVIDIA's adaptive vsync option, which only activates if the frame rate is greater than the refresh rate.

the program says that none of my monitors are active and when i make custom resolutions they dont show up in the properties of the monitor D: any tips?

What video card do you have? CRU gets the active status from Windows, so if none of the monitors are active, then that's a driver issue.

thanks for the answer i realized that my monitor doesnt have the proper driver installed but there are none : acer s240hl when i download the driver on the website it only contains an .ini data not more
