RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
I opened CRU utility I made a new entry at 2560x1440 with 100hz refresh rate setting. I take it from below to above of the default (60hz) and i pressed copy....disabling also include extension block. After i pressed ok i restarted my PC and after i logon in windows 8 x64 pro i couldn't see any new refresh rate at my monitor settings but only i thing i see is the default refresh rate of my monitor (60hz) at 2560x1440.

Re: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
I seem to remember reading on 120hz.net that extra steps are required for Windows 8 users but cannot remember the details. Drive signature enforced overriding maybe?

You didn't mention doing this. If you don't know which is which, delete all the monitors and reboot. That should leave you with the correct monitor entry. |

Drive signature enforced overriding maybe? For Nvidia I know you have to run Win 8 in test mode. I would assume the same would be true for AMD. |

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Im having a problem with my 7970s in crossfire, I just got my OC catleap and everything works just fine for me up to 118hz in single gpu mode, but if I enable crossfire I cant go above a 321 pixel clock rate or every single game will crash to the desktop, everything else works fine while in crossfire mode(internet, desktop, etc) but anytime I launch any game it crashes, the most I could get out of it with custom timings and keep it below a 322 pixel clock rate is 82hz, im using the 13.2 beta 5's, does anyone else have/had this problem or know how to fix it? thanks!

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Ugh, I've tried everything, its driving me nuts, nothing is working, and although 82 hz is better than 60 hz...it's not nearly as beautiful as 100+

Re: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Try overclocking the monitor on each card individually (with the other card removed) to verify that each individual card is supporting an overclock higher than 82hz

Re: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
It's just worth checking that each card is performing as it should before troubleshooting a Crossfire setup. What are the exact models of the two cards?
