Actually screw it I got you the report already. 2 MORE things:

1) Forgot to mention that Windows loads for a few seconds before the BSOD, and it's enough time for me to tell that it's NOT loading in native resolution (not in 16:9 anymore)

2) This time, when I loaded in Safe Mode I got a Windows error report:

Um, I'll have to double check when I get home, but I'm pretty sure these columns were empty (I only copy pasted columns that had entries filled in). Odd...

Ok I'm back home and have double checked. Those fields are definitely both empty...odd

I'm gonna try the last WHQL drivers (CAP12.10) just in case it's related to something in the latest (revision 11) of the CAP12.11 Beta drivers.

By the way, Toasty, when you say the patcher "has been tested to work with Catalyst 11.9 through 12.11 Beta," what revision of 12.11 Beta did you try? All of them? Also, what about the Catalyst Application Profiles? I have these installed too...

I'm using revision 11 right now. It should work with all revisions. The CAP shouldn't matter.

I'm beginning to suspect file corruption. Use WinMD5 and let me know what MD5 checksum values you get for the zip and exe files.

Too late. I rolled back to 12.10 WHQL and it's now working fine (even with the CAP profiles on top). Could of indeed been a corruption problem with me 12.11 installation but at the moment I'm focusing on reaching a 120Hz OC

Just tried going from 96 to 120Hz on automatic timings in one go and was (surprise surprise) greeted with a black screen at startup, lol. Trying 110Hz with manual timings.

Another question (yeah, they're stacking up, right?!): When we get the black screen, is the only way to start over to boot in safe mode and unpatch the drivers, reboot, repatch and reboot? That's what I had to do. It didn't suffice to just choose 60Hz in CRU while in safe mode...Windows would still reboot to a black screen. Just wondering if there are any shortcuts in the event of a black screen.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand we've just hit 120Hz, folks!

To be honest, I would like to try with the 12.11 beta drivers again but at the moment I'm just glorifying in the fact that I'm finally experiencing 2560x1440@120Hz!

You shouldn't have to unpatch the driver. Just deleting the higher refresh rate in safe mode should be enough, but who knows.

Ugh, yeah come to think of it that would have been the logical move. Oh well that's all academic now.

Last thing (totally not important): any way remove the Test Mode watermark? I tried a method I found via Google but it literally disabled Test Mode instead of just removing the watermark
