Can't get 3840x2160 on CRU's standard resolution
Hi guys,
I have a AOC 4k u2879vf monitor with Intel HD4600 Graphic card. The monitor supports upto 3840x2160 @60phz. However, the intergrated HD4600 won't let me set the refresh rate to 60pHz. The maximum is only 30pHz.

When I use CRU 1.3, there is not 3840x2160 in the standard resolution, and I can't add this resolution to the standard resolution at all. Is there any other way to add this?

FYI, the HDMI cable is 2.0. All hardware is fine. Just not getting 3840x2160 @60pHz.
It's very frustrating.

Thanks a lot!

BTW, this is the EDID info:

RE: Can't get 3840x2160 on CRU's standard resolution
You can't add 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz as a standard resolution. It can only be added as a detailed resolution or TV resolution. You shouldn't need to add it anyway. It should already be defined by default, possibly in the default extension block, which CRU can't read with Intel GPUs. I doubt the Intel HD 4600 supports HDMI 2.0. That's probably the issue.

RE: Can't get 3840x2160 on CRU's standard resolution
Are you using one of the beta drivers that support EDID overrides? Did you also try adding the custom resolution using Intel's driver utility itself?

It's not there and I can't add it either. Maybe it's Intel HD 4600's issue. Very annoying.

Thanks Toast!

Yes. I have downloaded the beta driver from the Intel forum. However, it's not working. When I use Intel's driver utility, it always says "exceed maximum bandwidth".

Thanks
