Or do I not need to add in the res in that section?
You do not need to add the same resolution in multiple places.

hmm not working, after removing all the 4k res's from extension block (only 1440 was in there and removing 4k res's from tv res section in extension block I was left with 4k option in surround but 24hz this time.

This is what I have now, I will take ss's of each section

I tried this way and no go and tried removing all the 3840 and 4096 res's in tv resolutions under extension block, also no luck.

Check the HDMI support data block. That's the only other place it could be.

Okay that seems to be working, thank you. When I rebooted the computer it was messed up again, will I have to do this each time I reboot?

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello, may I know if its possible to get 1920x1080 144Hz at 300Mhz ?

My current settings in CRU which the only highest I can get is 1920x1080 136Hz at 300.99Mhz which I cannot go more than 300.99Mhz because new resolution doesnt show above 300.99Mhz

Laptop :
Lenovo Ideapad 330 15ICH i5 8300H + GTX1050
HDMI 1.4a

External Monitor :
Acer Nitro XV240Y P 165Hz
HDMI 2.0

Hi OP,
Many thanks for developing this wonderful utility .
I was wondering if it’s possible to make 1080 P content look correct on 4K displays. My computer has a very old graphic card that only supports 1080 P resolution. when connected it to a 4K display the content to look even more fuzzy then on 1080 P displays

You shouldn't have to, but NVIDIA's driver has bugs with Surround and EDID overrides.

Intel GPUs don't support more than 300.99 MHz. The only thing you can do is reduce the totals as low as the monitor will allow.

Try with and without GPU scaling.
