I need help to change EDID on my monitor with this program, for me changes I made dosent take effect after using restart.exe. I have Samsung C27HG70 connected via DisplayPort. I want change free-sync range and ID of the monitor. Can someone help me?

I have an Acer CG437KP which has a native resolution of 3840x2160 @ 120hz 4:4:4 8 bit colour. I use DisplayPort to connect my 2070 super to my monitor and I want to create a custom resolution of 4k @ 96hz 4:4:4 at 10 bit which is proving a little difficult.
When I create a custom resolution with NVCP, I can select 10 bit colour but it reverts back to 8 bit when I apply it. When I use CRU to create a custom resolution via extension block under DisplayID - LCD standard - I can only select 8 bit colour from NVCP. If i use LCD reduced timings it borks the monitor. I then find out the pixel clock border for 8/10 bit colour and modify the custom resolution timings so that the pixel clock is below it which allows me to select 4k 96hz 4:4:4 at 10 bit colour......but it breaks Madvr. In Madvr, a new identification is used but it nullifies all my wide gamut colours and HDR formats as well as displaying only 8 bit colour (as opposed to 8/10/12 bit originally) and while displaying HDR video as SDR. I tried transferring the CRU timings to the NVCP but again 10 bit colour did not stick when I applied it. Any thoughts on how to solve this problem Toastyx? Any help will be appreciated |

If you can find some way to dump the full EDID with the DisplayID extension block, then you can import it into CRU. If you have access to an AMD GPU, it should be able to read it. If not, maybe there's some way using Linux. |
