(Just want to make sure that I have that correct before dropping the coin)With the U3011, no. If it skips frames with DVI, it will probably skip frames with DisplayPort. DisplayPort can be useful for getting around the 165 MHz single-link limit with some lower resolution monitors, but the U3011 is not affected by that. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I have Acer Aspire One 522 with a 1280x720 display and a C-50/Radeon 6250. Using CCU I added 1280x768. After reboot, within Windows I can select the resolution and it works - just cut off at the bottom. I understand this utility does not do downscaling, but is it posible to configure a profile wherein at 1280x768, the top 48 pixels get cut off instead of the bottom? I am trying to get Metro apps working in Win 8.1. So far this works - just cut off. Any other option for downscaling? (The Intel registry hack does not work)
Thanks |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
There's no way to control that with CRU. The laptop display is the one cutting off the bottom.
AMD's driver does have downscaling ability, but there's no easy way to do it right now. It would need to be a separate program because it's handled completely differently. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
That's too bad... I know a number of people with this netbook are stuck for a solution to running metro ui apps. At 1280x720, it was considered 'high resolution' for a 10 " netbook, but just shy of Microsoft's requirement in Windows 8. Its a shame because otherwise Win 8 runs very smoothly on its dual core c-50 APU with integrated Radeon 6250. Thanks.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
hello and thank you for this great tool,
only one Question: why i can not type a refresh rate under 60hz? on my computer with radeon 6850 works 1280x720 @ 50, good for Pal Films and Games to render 50 frames smooth with vsync. My wish are now the 1280x720 @ 48 to fine sync the US films, or other Resolution with 50HZ. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello,
at first i have to thank you for your great work with this tool for lcd oc. Ive used it for quite some time now. Now I reinstalled system, but cant get the oc resolutions to work. I follow the instructions, dont have nv experience installed, but cant see the custom resolutions in desktop-> screen resolutions etc. I use qnix + win 7 + gtx680 lightning + 320.18 what could possibly be wrong, making me unable to see any custom resolutions in the selection? I can see only 59 and 60 I am hopeless, otherwise I woudnt bother you. Thanks |

If you turn on GPU scaling in the Catalyst Control Center, the refresh rates should also be available for lower resolutions. |
