This is the actual adaptor I am using now. it is from Best Buy and it is currently working on my home system,

As far as DVI to HDMI is concerned I was told that you need dual link DVI-D to be able to do 3840x2160 resolution and that as of now their is no such thing as an DVI dual link to HDMI converter.

I have been taking a closer look at the specs of the two video cards and I think their may be a difference in the version of display port they output. I am pretty sure the QUadro 4000 only outputs version 1.1 and I think the Quadro FX 3800 outputs version 1.2.

Hi, I tried to run latest version of the cru.exe. The program does not start, it only appears in taskmanager and after approx. 20 seconds an error message gets thrown: Class tbitbtn not found.

That´s all. I run a win7 64bit, Clevo P370SM notebook, Chimei N173HGE screen. I am lost with this error message, all I found was something about delphi programming language. Any ideas?

I don't see how that could happen. CRU has no external dependencies and should work on a fresh install of Windows with nothing else installed. Either the file is corrupted, or something is interfering with it, possibly an antivirus program. Avast's DeepScreen feature has caused problems in the past.

Thank you for the upload. I have a problem that I am hoping you will be able to assist me with.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop, with an NVIDIA 8400M GS graphics card.

It has a VGA out, which I have connected to an active VGA - HDMI converter. This is connected to a Dell U2414H monitor via HDMI.

The native resolution of the monitor is 1920 x 1080 @ maximum of 60Hz.

Standard Windows 8.1 resolution options do not include 1920 x 1080 so I downloaded your software.

I added "1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz" under standard resolutions, and restarted. The monitor is clearly displaying a 1080p resolution as intended. However: The image is shifted around 100-200 pixels to the left.

Please see the attached photo. There is a distinct black bar between the end of the image displayed on the screen, and the edge of the monitor.

Please help, this is very frustrating. Thank you.

The first detailed resolution is considered the native resolution. Add it as a detailed resolution using the "LCD standard" timing option. Standard resolutions won't use the right timing.

I've done that, still got the same issue.

I've also tested a different laptop (ATI Graphics Card) and a different monitor, and they all suffer from the same issue.

I think it is to do with timing but I have no idea how to rectify it.

If "LCD reduced" doesn't work either, then it's probably an issue with the adapter.
