Hey ToastyX, thanks for the awesome program!

I have one issue though. It seems I can't use a vertical resolution above 2,000. I'm messing with different super-high interlaced resolutions to see how they look. 2560x1920i works fine, but for some reason I can't select anything higher.

In pic 1, you can see I have 3072x2304i set as the first resolution. And in pic 2 you can see that CCC reports it as my max resolution. However, it's not actually selectable in windows, CCC, or any games. It's just not on any of the lists. Any clue what I can do to pass this arbitrary 2,000 line limit?

Oh yeah, and in the CCC pic, it refers to my monitor as a DDC display. Sometimes it will correctly detect my monitor as the Dell p992. Either way, the 2,000 line limit is there.

The problem is you're trying to use interlaced resolutions that the driver doesn't support. The only way around that is to modify the driver, which I won't be doing. I only included interlaced support so 1080i could be defined. Progressive resolutions don't have that limitation.

The monitor name requires an empty detailed resolution slot, so it won't be saved if there are four detailed resolutions. That's just cosmetic and shouldn't affect functionality.

To Set up in CRU and in CCC as single resolution is no problem. In that moment I use AMD Eyefinity in the Sapphire Card software to expand all three resolution to one, the resolution jumps to 3168x1080@60Hz and I can´t change it to 2304x1080@60hz.

I don't see why it would do that unless 1056x1080 is still defined somewhere. It shouldn't be doubling the resolution automatically.

Make sure 768x1080 is the first detailed resolution for all three projectors, and make sure there aren't any other resolutions. Disable the extension block to make sure. If that doesn't help, then it's a driver issue that I can't do anything about.

The interlaced resolutions thing is actually pretty great for CPU-limited games. Like with 2304x1728i @90hz, I can play Far Cry 3 at a perfectly smooth 45fps, without all the flicker I would get if I tried to play the game at a progressive 45hz. And progressive 90hz is impossible at that resolution on my CRT monitor.

AMD's graphics driver is reading the resolution but is ignoring it, which is why it shows up in CCC as the maximum resolution but isn't listed anywhere.

That is invaluable information for someone like me who suffers from eye strain. However, I'm neither using a Display Port nor DVI, but HDMI and sometimes VGA. Is there another registry setting for HDMI or even VGA output?

I've found HDMI_DisableDither inside atikmdag.sys. Nothing about VGA.

There's also an HDMI_DisableDither option. I don't think AMD GPUs dither with VGA.

Dithering shouldn't cause eye strain. 8-bit dithering is very hard to see, especially with the gradual transitions caused by LCD response times. Most people don't even realize AMD GPUs have dithering.

Normally, you'd want to leave dithering on unless the monitor also dithers and the two dithering patterns are clashing to produce artifacts.

So i played with the settings and i got to 85 hz and i got an "out of range" massage on the monitor, and after that i was stupid and rebooted and the 85 hz setting stayed. Now after startup i cant see anything only the out of range massage is on the monitor. How can i get back to default settings when i cant see anything? Help pls.

I got a Catleap Q270 a few weeks ago and just got around to trying to OC it but am having some issues. Any time i try something higher than 68 Hz i get a bunch of flickering horizontal lines across the screen. Hopefully someone can point out what I'm doing wrong.

What I have:
Catleap q270
some other cheap 1080p monitor
radeon r9 200

what i've done:
installed catalyst 14.12
ran atikmdag patcher
install and ran cru 1.1.2
added new detailed resolutions with a variety of refresh rates and automatic timing settings

so each time i do this and try something higher than 68 i get the crazy lines. also, sometimes after i change the refresh rates it will just reset itself back to the old rate after 15-20 seconds or so.
