Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

Is Windows 10 HDR mode possible with Haswell processor and AMD Radeon HD 7970? My TV supports it and I have Displayport to HDMI adapter capable of 60hz 3840x2160, I've tried every EDID override but windows won't recognize my display as HDR capable, I'm thinking this is a hardware limitation of my PC and not my display?

The HD 7970 GPU is too old for HDR. I think the oldest GPU that supports HDR is the R9 380/390, and you need an RX 400-series or newer GPU for HDMI 2.0.

Dear Toasty, please help!
I've got 2 Plasma sets(50 inch ST20 and 46 inch G15) and I've tried my luck with 120hz on both 1080p and 720p using your CRU software; direct HDMI and no other monitor hooked up. I made sure to change the pixel clock rate to 297Mhz and also the max TMDS limit to 340Mhz(I've got a Radeon r9 380) in the extension block options. I've also tried using different automatic presets(LCD standard, LCD native etc.), and while I do manage to have the refresh appear in my monitor settings in windows, whenever I apply, I just get a black screen; no matter what I do! I even tried doing just 65 or 75hz at both 720p and 1080p but it just blacks out whenever I try to apply these refresh rates.
Am I missing something? Have I overlooked some other essential setting/edit?

The TVs probably don't support higher refresh rates.

This happens when I try to set custom resolutions. My screens are eizo t960 and eizo f931, and the one on the right is through a mini dp adapter, to vga. The one on the left is using a dvi-bnc cable directly from the graphics card. Which means the pc receives edid from the right screen, but not from the left.

Gpu is amd 280x, i do have two of them in the system but I don't think it matters? The second one has its power disconnected currently because of a different power supply issue.

OS is windows 7 x64, gpu drivers were reinstalled today and are v 19.11.3. I did use ddu to try to remove old drivers before trying to install this one. I don't know what more info to post? Help is appreciated...

It's an AMD driver bug that they don't seem to care to fix. It only happens when there's no EDID, so you should use an adapter for that monitor as well.

I've bought a couple of mighty CRT displays but can't make detailed resolutions work properly.
I'm using Win10 and GTX1060.
1) I go to CRU;
2) Choose display;
3) Create detailed resolution;
4) Click "OK" and run "restart64";
5) Restart PC
At the end of this I see only 1024x768 120Hz, that I've added. But there's no others like 1280x1024 115Hz or 1440x1080 100Hz. I can't see them in properties of my video adapter (((
What am I doing wrong?

How are you connecting the monitors? GTX 1060 doesn't support VGA.

That would be an active adapter, which might have its own limitations. You're probably exceeding a pixel clock limit. You might have better luck with an HDMI-VGA adapter instead.
