It's light, I can see that, but it's black. HDMI monitors work find. I tried to uninstall it in the device manager and I reinstalled the graphics card drivers but nothing worked. I have a Asus Zenbook i7 Windows 8.1 with intel HD graphiics 4000 (and a Nvida Geforce 620, but this one doesn't seem to be involved). Does anyone have some clues what I could try next?Did you run reset-all.exe and reboot? There should be no overrides left after that. |

CRU doesn't affect boot screens or safe mode, so if it's blank there, that indicates a hardware problem. |

Now there is a purple tear at the bottom of the screen,Deleting the active monitor just resets the settings, and so does running reset-all.exe, so the problem has nothing to do with CRU. I don't see anything wrong with your current settings. There is no override in place according to the screen shot. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
hello ToastyX ,I use AMD RX5700 and find a very tricky problem when I connect two monitors (2560*1440@60Hz HDMI,3840*2160@60Hz DP).The memory(VRAM) clock will stuck at full speed(1750MHz) thus temperature will increase a lot when idle. This is really annoying. Many people also suffer from this problem for a long time with other AMD card when use 144Hz or more than one monitors.AMD official said they won't fix this in drivers because they don't think it is a problem.
I find the note of CRU(picture below) may solve this problem but I don't know how to do specifically.Could you give me some help? All I find now is the momery clock will auto reduce when I just connect one of them,or set them both 1920*1080@60Hz. sorry for my poor English, thanks bro. |

The memory clock can only change during the blanking period to avoid screen flickering, but if you have two monitors with different resolutions, the blanking periods won't be synchronized, so there's no way to change the memory clock without at least one screen flickering. The note about vertical blanking/total is a separate issue. If the vertical blanking/total is too low, there won't be enough time to change the memory clock without screen flickering. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I'm using in some games a non native resolution (1440 x 1080 stretched) on my acer predator xn253qp (G-sync modul and 144hz) for competitive reasons. In the past I was using NCP but on my new monitor G-sync is not working at a non native resolution. A custom resolution in CRU on the other hand works with G-sync.
I was fiddle around yesterday for multiple hours in CRU but didn't find a satisfying custom resolution setting for 1440 x 1080 @ 144hz in CRU which felt smooth. I would be very grateful if you can help me and share a possible setting for a smooth experience with low input lag. If I need to change something for my VRR in CRU don't hesitate to share it. Because FPS drops felt terrible aswell which shouldn't be the case with a G-sync modul. Thanks in advance and cheers |

Instead of using CRU, try editing NV_Modes in the registry: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Threa...51#pid9851 |

What I still don't understand is, if I set the refresh rate at 120 or 144hz in CRU, my monitor will always run on 85hz, so I can only switch to 144hz in Nvidia. What I'm doing wrong? And should I set it to exact 144hz or the number in de extension block (143.97)? |
