[Help] Samsung Odyssey G95NC (Neo G9 57") Image Scaling Issue
Hi everyone, I have a Samsung Odyssey G95NC (7680x2160 native panel resolution and 240hz native panel refresh rate) and due to DisplayPort 1.4a limitations on my GPU I can only achieve 240hz in 5120x1440. I'm okay with that but I want to use it in a 1:1 pixel ratio so the image doesn't get blurry from stretching.
When I set the resolution through Windows to 5120x1440 to either 240hz or 60hz it will stretch the image to fit/fill the monitor and make things look blurry. However, when I set the resolution to 7680x2160 and then change it back to 5120x1440 the image will scale properly, black borders appear around the image and the image itself is crisp with no stretching. But, I am stuck at 60hz. Once I select the 240hz refresh rate option the image just scales fully to the size of the monitor. I already set scaling to no scaling through NVIDIA Control Panel and I can't create custom resolutions through it either (it's greyed out). I already tried using both GPU and Display Scaling option in the control panel as well and no luck. I can't figure out what seems to be the cause of this and I'm not really knowledgeable enough in monitors to tinker with Custom Resolution Utility on my own yet. Is this something that can be fixed by CRU? If so, can anyone kindly help me through the configurations? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance! https://www.monitortests.com/forum/image.../smile.gif TL;DR I want to achieve black borders around the image on the monitor when selecting a lower than native resolution. |

RE: [Help] Samsung Odyssey G95NC (Neo G9 57") Image Scaling Issue
If 7680x2160 @ 240 Hz isn't available, then 5120x1440 @ 240 Hz will be scaled by the display no matter what, so you'll have to change the scaling in the monitor's menus.
