Parts required for overclocking LG IPS panels?

I have a Dell U2711 and I broke the LCD panel after a shock on the screen with a cup It's the most expensive espresso of my life!

I called to Dell and they asked me 900 euros for a refurbished panel!

At the beginning, I planed to buy a new LG panel LM270WQ2 but the part is difficult to find, and the prices are high...

After some researches I found:
- the LM270WQ1 which is less expensive and easier to find because more Apple monitors was sold compared to the Dell monitor.
- the LM270WQ3 which is used in other monitors

Here is my key interrogation: can I plug in my Dell U2711 the Q1 or Q3 panel ?

If so, what kind of manual adaptations have I to do ?

Please note that I am not concerned if I lost some functions of my screen or if the final performances are a little but lower.

Supposedly the timing controller is interchangeable between the LM270WQ2 and the LM270WQ1, but the LM270WQ2 has CCFL backlighting while the LM270WQ1 has LED backlighting, so I don't know if the backlight control is interchangeable. Even if it worked, the LM270WQ2 is a wide gamut panel while the LM270WQ1 is a standard gamut panel, so the colors will look different. I think you're better off just getting a new monitor like one of the Korean 2560x1440 monitors on eBay.

Well after many months of search, failed purchases, etc. I have finally got the required parts and managed to OC my Shimian to 120Hz!
I uploaded the frame skipping test on You Tube, @ToastyX what do you think?
Are those 120Hz valid?
It may be capable of more than that but my 290x i struggling to achieve constant 120 fps already.

I even managed to get it up to 130Hz, frame skipping test looks OK it works fine in games but I am getting a lot of flashes when browsing so I left it at 120Hz.
I tried 140 Hz but for some reason Windows is refusing to accept it.

You need:

Logic board
LM270WQ1-SLA1

Driver board
LM270WQ1 /LDK-LE256/HY-2560M

You can get them at overlordcomputer.com for $200 OC PCB set or you can try at on Chinese taobao.com and use yoybuy.com to purchase it for you.
I bought driver board from overlord (~$90 with shipping) and logic board from China ($50 with shipping) which ended up $140.
You can only buy the driver board at overlord since the guy who sells them in China sanelin88 does not respond to messages.
