Ps how come windows hdr calibration is able to override the peak brightness even with dsc active?
I tried to find out how it's doing it but it's beyond me...

I don't know any way to override what the driver does. The only hope would be to find another method that the driver allows, but I don't have the hardware to test if any methods work with DSC. Windows HDR calibration creates color profiles and has nothing to do with EDID overrides.
