Run this and post the edid-test.txt file here so I can see what the monitor is reporting: https://www.monitortests.com/edid-test.zip Oh alright, I understand. Yeah no clue how it worked before then... EDID attached. Thank you! |

NVIDIA ignores EDID overrides with DSC anyway, but maybe the presence of an override is having some effect. Run reset-all.exe and restart to remove the override. |

Yes, I tried using CRU after SRE did not work anymore but with CRU being more complicated than SRE, I have a hard time now explaining exactly what I did. I tried following the guides made for CRU and only doing a specific thing actually worked with my monitor. I will try the reset-all.exe later today after work and report back. Though I guess it won't work, as SRE stopped working before I even tried CRU. Anyhow, will give reset-all.exe a try. Thank you again! |

Using Reset-all.exe did not fix it unfortunately... |

RE: Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE)
Hi all... i'm new to this kind of resolution altering (outside of what the graphics card is happy to do).
I have a Samsung NP-350V5C-A06UK laptop. But it's max resolution is 1366 x 768 which on most sites in 2024 I find very frustrating to use. I would ideally love to have it work at 1600x900 or 1920x1280. But i don't want to risk burning out the on-board graphics or potentially have it overheating the processor. I'm not sure if this can be done (or if there is other software that you are aware of that would work better in my situation), i appreciate it's an old machine so if it's too dangerous to attempt then that's fine. But i wanted to find out the experts opinions before just diving in and trying it. |

Laptops screens normally don't have scalers, so you can't use CRU either. AMD has Virtual Super Resolution (VSR) and NVIDIA has Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) for adding higher virtual resolutions, but Intel doesn't have a similar feature, so I don't know of a solution. Also scaling higher resolutions down will make text look bad, so it's not an ideal solution. |

Sounds like there is very little possibility of upscaling the resolution, the GPU i believe is an 'Intel HD Graphics 4000'. |
