RE: NVIDIA Pixel Clock Patcher
Hello ToastyX,

Any chance that ToastyX Strobelight would work on NVIDIA Optimus systems (laptop users with both NVIDIA and Intel GPU's, that switch dynamically)? The DDC is handled by the Intel 3000/4000/5000 series GPU in this situation, even when the NVIDIA GPU is operating. Is it possible to use the Intel DDC API's? I have a few NVIDIA Optimus users who are frustrated and want to try LightBoost...

Intel suggests that DDC/CI API's are available --

If you have a recent MacBook, they're also NVIDIA Optimus systems, and you can install Windows on them (Boot Camp) to test out LightBoost activation via NVIDIA Optimus. He has gone through so much trouble getting the graphics stuff into his hands -- that one of them is probably willing to send a bigger-than-usual donation, probably.... (And Blur Busters will pitch in in another donation, too, if you succeed in getting LightBoost working via any Optimus system.)

Thanks,

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
The VG278H can't be initialized with AMD cards because it has a slow DDC implementation that causes communication problems. NVIDIA lets me work around that by setting a slower transmission speed, but AMD doesn't have that option. The VG278H is the only model with that problem.

It means 121/111/101 Hz are strobed instead of 120/110/100 Hz, but I'm not sure if all the models can handle that properly. 3D Vision seems to require 120 Hz to be non-strobed to enable 3D mode properly.

You don't need to uninstall it. Ideally you should run the setup program again just in case there are any changes, but it's not necessary in this case unless you need DisplayPort audio. Just replace the main strobelight.exe file with the new version.

If this is true, what would be better to get? A 120Hz+lightboost or a 144Hz monitor?
The 144 Hz monitors can run LightBoost at 120/110/100 Hz, so it doesn't matter.

Intel's SDK is not publicly available, and the required custom resolutions can't be installed because EDID overrides don't work with Intel.

Oh ok. So with the swapped version installed, how do you enable stereoscopic 3D? Do you need to be at LB off when enabling 3D in the NVIDIA CP?

Also, everytime I uninstall and reinstall an NVIDIA driver do I need to uninstall and reinstall your software as well?

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
So I read about some people actually getting these to work with Catleap 2B's?

I know some say it can't, and it's not listed here, but is there any harm in trying, and is it actually possible?

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Hey mate thx for the program!

So I am not sure if it's working or not.

I deinstalled my geforce experience via deinstall manager first and after that i installed the strobelight setup [Image: http://puu.sh/5LnXe.png] and put the other exe into my startup folder.

After reboot my green 3d led is glowing in the bottom right corner and I never used it nor installed afaik. Or is it just showing me that it's turned on (working)?
And also I don't understand the hotkeys.

When i choose 121 hz the strobe is going off and the led too.
