RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Any chance of strobelight working at 144Hz or above?

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Happy new year!
Is there any chance to use it on Benq Zowie XL2430 (win10, DisplayPort, 376.33 Nvidia GTX680)? After reboot strobelight.exe just shows increasing numbers and does not apply to any icon (taskbar) as intended. |

Any news if there's a way to get Strobelight working on Nvidia surround without doing the hardware mod?

I don't have a way to test it myself. The refresh rates need to be installed with Surround disabled. Then reboot and set up Surround. |

By default it's on 15%. Should i downgrade it to 10% like in this example? [Image: http://www.blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/motion-blur-graph.png] 2) Should i change total pixels to 2080 x 1500 and why? Costom Resolution Utility comes with default 2080 x 1149 pixels. 3) What is sync polarity for? Default value is +\+ but some example configues are +\- |

[Image: http://www.blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/motion-blur-graph.png]That's meant for stereoscopic 3D. You should disable stereoscopic 3D if you're not using 3D glasses. The graph is talking about the LightBoost brightness setting, not 3D depth. (01-05-2017 12:40 PM)Podranok Wrote: 2) Should i change total pixels to 2080 x 1500 and why? Costom Resolution Utility comes with default 2080 x 1149 pixels. You shouldn't change the totals if you're using LightBoost because it requires specific totals to activate. The vertical total trick is meant for improving the non-LightBoost backlight strobing option that some BenQ monitors have. If your monitor has the blur reduction feature, you can try that instead of LightBoost. (01-05-2017 12:40 PM)Podranok Wrote: 3) What is sync polarity for? Default value is +\+ but some example configues are +\-It's not important. It's just whether the sync pulse goes up or down, but monitors generally don't care either way. |

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
But... can i use both Lightboost and Benq Blur Reduction at the same time? It seems i use them both now as the guide methor 3 says. And if i uncheck "Enable stereoscopic 3D" button Lightboost turnes off. I'm kinda confused.

I'm kinda confused.LightBoost and BenQ's blur reduction are both forms of backlight strobing, so it doesn't make sense to use them both at the same time. Disabling stereoscopic 3D shouldn't disable LightBoost. The point of that guide is to use the wizard to unlock LightBoost in the monitor. Then you can use Strobelight or CRU to enable LightBoost using custom resolutions. That was the point of using CRU in the guide. LightBoost should be active when any of the custom resolutions are active. You can also use Strobelight now that LightBoost is unlocked. Strobelight normally takes care of the unlocking part, but it can't do that for newer monitors. |
