Windows 8.1 Screen Resolution
Hi, I have been using Windows 7 for a while now. I didn't really want to upgarde, but as my PC is really old and had not much space I found it easier to just get a new PC. However when plugging the monitor into my brand-new Windows 8.1, the resolution is completely different. I thought Oh, this is easily solvable, and went into screen resolution, it was the right one. Whats happened is the screen is bigger than my monitor. Like it's been stretched. I used NVIDIA control manager, to change the screen size, but it look squashed.
Any advice? |

RE: Windows 8.1 Screen Resolution
I really don't know how that can happen if it's already set to the proper resolution. What monitor and video card do you have?

RE: Windows 8.1 Screen Resolution
I have exactly the same problem. Everything up to 75 Hz is no problem but the screen is cut at the right side.
I am using Windows 8.1, but i donĀ“t know if that is the reason. I think the reason is that Windows suggest 1920x1080 resolution although my monitor only supports 1680x1050. Can this be the reason? I have a Asus monitor an amd graphics. Thank you Do you know how i can fix it? |
